Through the smoke weaves Comic Book Guy with Across A Crowded Room - a five-track trip through warped trance and psy forms.

Berlin-based ISA and Ayū rework the material from opposing angles, offering two distinct takes that expand the palette without overcomplicating it.

Afrofuturism

Aedis returns with Body / Mind, a self-released EP exploring contrast through restraint and repetition.

Across four minimal cuts, the record leans into subtle melodic phrasing and melancholic harmonic movement, where small shifts carry emotional weight. The A side focuses on the physical — groove-led, rhythmic, and immediate, shaped for motion and tactile response. In contrast, the B side turns inward, settling into deeper, more patient structures where melody and atmosphere take precedence.

Reduced elements, evolving textures, and a careful balance between tension and release define the EP’s arc — a dialogue between instinct and introspection, body and mind.

To wrap up the label's first year of existence, Animalia continues to shine light on artists exploring Melbourne's deeper side. Prismatic Spring is the new release from OK EG. Over 4 tracks, the Melbourne duo further refine their deep and expansive sound. Acidic excursions that combine bold rhythms, organic textures and evaporating pads to uplifting effect. A lockdown record that imagines light and space, built to be heard and felt on the dance floor.
