Catching Flies’ music draws from a wide-ranging palette of influences including jazz, soul, hip-hop, house and electronica and has previously seen him handpicked by Bonobo to provide support on his World Tour. Catching Flies’ forthcoming single ‘Silver Linings’ taken from his debut album (release 5th July 2019), is a slice of sophisticated electronica that nails the sweet spot between headphones and dancefloor. ‘Silver Linings’ is highly textured, deeply melodic and effortlessly marries live instrumentation (guitars, harps, a string quartet…) with warm electronics. To a casual listener, its pulse and lavish keyboard layering might sound familiar – the kind of thing you recognise from the likes of Bonobo or Caribou. But with ‘Silver Linings’, the structuring is unique, the way it draws you through narratives, leading you in and out of its androgynous sampled vocal loops nothing short of magical…meticulous production manipulations make surfaces glitter, crackle and crunch in a way that constantly calls into question what is electronic and what is ‘real.’

Vijunns is the experimental audio/visual moniker of Los Angeles-based music producer and graphic designer Jeremy Raskin. Since the project’s inception in 2018, the artist’s catalog has expanded to a variety of instrumental synthesizer music genres, ranging from ambient to techno. With a handful of singles, EPs, and albums under his belt, 2023 was a pivotal year for Raskin with the release of his first score, “N8-44 (Original Score from .party() 2023)”, composing interlude tracks between headliners Jamie XX & Skrillex for Notch’s iconic LA Memorial Coliseum party.

Raskin meticulously shapes his sound with various hardware synthesizers, effects, and drum machines. Through a blend of sonic textures, rhythmic intricacies, and visual storytelling, Vijunns creates immersive experiences that connect with audiences worldwide.
