In 1998, songwriting & production duo Emily Haines & Jimmy Shaw formed what would become Metric and left Toronto for NYC in search of like-minded artists. In 2001/2002, they were joined by drummer Joules Scott Key & bassist Joshua Winstead, and found themselves at the center of the city’s burgeoning alt-rock scene alongside bands like LCD Soundsystem, The Strokes, TV On the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol and more. Madame Récamier es una artista Independiente mexicana que desde temprana edad dedica su vida a la música. 

En Noviembre de 2009 presenta su álbum debut: ¨Chocolate”. Disco producido por la compositora que la llevó a tocar a los 2 festivales mas importantes en México: “Vive Latino” y “Corona Capital”.

"Chocolate" cuenta con la participación instrumental de Marcelo Lara, Enrique "BUGS" Gonzalez, Aleks Syntek y Mood fu en sus versiones originales y fué remixeado por Bonnz (HELLO SEAHORSE!) Alanity (Vicente Gayo) y Frank "El Médico¨ entre otros.

A finales del 2010 Madame participa como compositora de la música de la obra de teatro "Wonderland" escrita y dirigida por Alonso Barrera también creador de "La Fábrica", centro cultural donde se presentó la misma obra en la ciudad de Querétaro.

En los años 2010 - 2011 fue seleccionada como una de los 6 ganadores de la primera convocatoria de la Beca María Grever por el Auditorio Nacional, Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México junto con la Fundación Alfredo Harp.

Madame Récamier estrena este Septiembre 2012 "QUIERO", primer sencillo de segundo material discográfico. “ImaGina”. Producido por "Chetes" Garza,

Este disco nos muestra un sonido más maduro y conciso que mezcla el "Dream Folk" con elementos "setenteros" que acompañan las vivencias y anhelos de Madame, creando así, un ambiente melancólico e íntimo. 

Luis Humberto Navejas, vocalista de ENJAMBRE, aparece como co-autor del track número 3 "LUZ VERDE" 

Paralelo a "ImaGina", Madame Récamier compuso la banda sonora de la opera prima de la directora Claudia Sainte-Luce Lara; también participa en diferentes proyectos musicales, propios y de terceros, con distintos géneros asi como componiendo y produciendo para otros artistas. 

En 2017 recibió el 3er lugar en el "international songwriting competition" por su sencillo "Amor sin Barreras"

Su tercer álbum “Mi corazón”, producido por "Wanatox" de Tropikal Forever ha sido un nuevo escalón en esta larga carrera por recorrer donde explora géneros nuevos como reggae, boleros y synth pop.

Este año 2019 vuelve a la escena con un sonido crujiente característico que conserva el dream pop que viene de su mano desde hace 10 años ya. Esta vez experimentando grabaciones con equipo análogo preservando y adaptando temas de bandas legendarias de rock en México como "el Tri", "Caifanes", "Maná" y "Rodrigo González" que no se deben olvidar, también una co-producción con Wanatox y con colaboraciones de Alex Lora y Alfonso André.
