In May 2011 Mala (Digital Mystikz) travelled to Havana, Cuba with Gilles Peterson to record and collaborate with local musicians. The results are documented on his album ‘Mala in Cuba’ – scheduled for release on Brownswood Recordings on 10th September 2012. The album is preceded by a 12” featuring two tracks - ‘Cuba Electronic’ and ‘Calle F’ - out now.

Crow44: This mild mannered North Yorkshire resident has been steadily cranking out jam after jam on his antiquated PC for the last decade or so. Having begun his musical career in a John Barry and Yardbirds inspired rock outfit in Britain’s swinging 60s, his music has mellowed over the years to something altogether sublime, centered around smooth Korg M1 chords, jazzy synth riffs, drum machines, and his undying devotion to the Egyptian goddess Isis.

"We are brought down a notch in the middle of the EP, where we see more playful elements of synthesis come in on the sparse and spacious ‘Birthday’. Taking another notch down tempo-wise with ‘Fornia’ and ‘Ivory Heart’, AH takes us on a trip through the deepest caves of wonder. It’s probably not the best way to describe the music and dissect it, but these two tracks are like walking through underground caverns filled with natural treasures, glistening minerals and crystals. If that doesn’t make sense, and you’ve played Ocarina Of Time, think of the Great Fairy Fountains, just on a grander scale. A brilliant effort and an amazing release."
