Anthology of Choral Music, Book Two, Vincent Stadlin 2023.
In 1957 I was ten years of age and a student at Saint Joseph's Catholic school in Newton, New Jersey. At the time I was taking composion and piano lessions from Mr. Nevett Bartow (a noted composer in the area). A very kind and young sister asked me if I would wish to play the church's pipe organ for Sunday mass and there was only one hymn to learn, it was "O God of Loveliness".
It was the first peice of liturgical music I every knew. So this is why it is in this Anthology of "Anthems for the Cancel Choir"!
