Next up in our OYE podcast series is Irakli. He surprises us with a rather unusual house mix. Since he's usually known for techno or ambient sets, we really like this. A truly summery mix that immediately puts you in a good mood. Perfect for these gloomy times we're currently living in.

Originally from Georgia, Irakli’s early descent into the German capital has seen him corner and develop a side of the local scene and turn it into something of an international fare. He created STAUB, one of Berlin’s most celebrated techno parties. As a part of the production duo I/Y, he has been releasing music under the synonymous co-founded label. 

But most of all, Irakli’s craft behind the decks has been weighed upon by the likeliest of Berlin’s underground venues, namely Tresor, Berghain and Griessmuehle, with his vision of electronic music taken further afield in Europe, and the Americas.

In 2017 he founded the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound with artists like Stanislav Tolkachev, Natalie Beridze, Rezo Glonti and many others. Irakli also heads up a burgeoning convey diving into exploratory concepts of ambient, hued by the tones and colors of his homeland, Georgia. Adding orchestral collaborations and sound installations to a field of work outside of the club, Irakli’s expanding platforms and industrious connection to Berlin has seen his entry point into the scene now serve as an outlet into the more abstract, experimental realms of techno. 

With new endeavors afoot and a creative repertoire to boot, Irakli’s DJ sets, labels and parties always display unique qualities. It does not matter whether he is exploring beatless soundscapes or high energy techno music, Irakli always manages to create something special.

Ø [Phase] has been a driving force in techno for over two decades, impacting the movement with his prototypical, stripped-back sound. Since cutting his teeth at Sony Music London as a mastering engineer in the late ’90s, he’s paved his way unapologetically, often challenging audiences in his relentless pursuit of pure artistry.
His stark tracks exude an unbiased confidence that effortlessly commands the dance floor, ripening into quintessential classics. At a deeper glance, his music reveals an unseen complexity that seems to defy time and space—meticulously arranged and fervently produced with technical mastery.

Initially debuting on Steve Bicknell’s Cosmic Records, he became the principal artist of Token Records, eventually launching his own Modwerks label.
Besides a steady stream of critically acclaimed releases under his solo moniker, Ø [Phase]’s expansive projects include ongoing collaborations with Luke Slater as Roog Unit and Phyxix alongside Matrixxman.
He’s co-produced iconic tracks with UK legends Underworld and crafted definitive remixes for the likes of Robert Hood, Len Faki, and Rødhåd, but his momentum won’t stop there.
Catch him touring extensively, headlining events at ADE, Berghain, Dekmantel, Fabric, and diverse cities across the globe. Ø [Phase] maintains his position at the forefront of techno innovation, continually redefining the essence of underground music.

Deftly merging her background in sound design with techno and its real world applications, Toxido Mask is a shadowy DJ/Producer who calls Berlin home and has been challenging the fringe of her craft for over a decade. Her fastidious selections and skill on the decks are nothing short of legendary, providing experiences that rumble and vibrate with mystical power, characterised by a raw intensity and fragile balance between ‘harmony and disharmony, clarity and distortion’, a testament to the transformative nature of the genre and her keen understanding of it. She’s a Tresor resident and curator of the OMM Transmission Podcast and party series, an outlet for further explorations into the murky world of this defiant sound. Productions too have offered a glimpse into the shifting sands of her percussive mayhem with releases on Semantica Records, Aneelhi and Pregnant Void. Toxido’s paradigm has found form wherever possible and proven her singular vision can constantly change and provoke. Resident of Warsaw’s Jasna 1 and driving force behind the legendary Move Mózg series, Ola Teks has been shaping Poland’s electronic scene with sets that flow between deep techno and classic house  - always guided by intuition and emotion. Recognized by platforms like Boiler Room, Arte Concert, and Mixmag, she’s built a reputation for turning every dancefloor into a story.

Her SPND20 mix is both a showcase of her own sound and a tribute to the spirit of the Spandau family, whose energy has accompanied her since the very start. Fittingly, Ola was the first to bring FJAAK & SPANDAU20 abroad, booking us in Poland back in 2011/2012 - a milestone that still means a lot to us today.

Recorded at home in Warsaw, the mix begins with an intimate glow, rises into full club intensity, and lands gently back down. Along the way: spacious textures, tribal grooves, melancholic-yet-uplifting energy, timeless gems like I:Cube’s 11 Novembre, fresh fire from BAUGRUPPE90 and Cult, an unreleased track by Contakt, plus local heat from 2shy of Privet Press.

It’s raw, flowing, and straight from the heart - stitched together with precision, freedom, and deep respect.


SPND20 Mixtape by Ola Teks

Hailing from Santiago de Chile, eclectic talent Marcelo Antonio is a formidable voice for deep, mind-bending techno. Since 2018 the DJ/Producer has been putting out a growing number of releases on labels like Float, Keyhole, Methodical, Antiterra, EVOD Music, and delivered killer sets across his native Chile and Europe, honing a class of sound that’s full-bodied, deep and geared for marathon raves. His self-published work via Bandcamp-only outlet Out of Sight too, offers a further glimpse into his intimate studio workings: high-concept and movement driven tracks that foment rhythmic contemplation. His frequent collaborators include widely recognised industry staples like Kwartz, DVS1, Kr!z, Ruben Ganev, TWR72, Border One, Biri and Samuli Kempi, a sounding board comprised of peers that share in his passion for primal loops. It’s an elegant techno that layers up textures and builds up tension second by second, and steers its bow towards a distant and euphoric horizon. This master of mood is here with a number that’ll push your body and mind to the limit, liminal techno that hypnotises and fringes the frontier of techno.
