It's been a happy spectacle watching our friends at Lobster Theremin grow into the pink-bellied beast we see before us today. Their following has grown almost as quickly as their roster, snowballing via a release schedule that's as strong as it is frequent: a consistently welcome serve-up of Motor City-inspired house, dreamscape acid and narcotic techno. 

Late last year, Camp Lobster drilled deeper into the spectrum with Mörk, the label's darkling sub-imprint and home to its gloomiest techno. This week they inaugurate a new imprint, Distant Hawaii – a summer off-shoot for beach-coasting sunshine house. And its first release is exactly that: a wonderfully deep debut for Manchester man Hidden Spheres. 'Waiting' is our pick of the litter: a glowing thumper that's all butter-melt Rhodes lines, ecstatic vocal whoops, and tons of playful percussion. The perfect summer jam, basically – coming to a terrace near you very soon.

There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." Vincent Vedat was born in the Transylvanian highlands . He spent his early years in the wilderness raised by a pack of wolves. At an early age he learned to appreciate the howling of the wolves and the warm sounds of the forest which then shaped his musical training. Until the age of 16, it was not possible for him to record his music. It was not until the crash of an aircraft that he gained advanced musical training, such as several house jazz & hip hop Vinyls, a mpc and a microphone. Now Vincent Vedat began his first steps in composition, mixing and recording, always accompanied by some samples. He began his search for the perfect sound, which would shape his whole life. 
After the musical education in Transylvania he chose the plains of Berlin as a new home. He put on music in various clubs and met people with the same goals (SGOLrecordings, MAPUberlin). At the same time, Vincent Vedat restocked his equipment with various analog and digital tools to better compose his music. He honed his productions and phenomena, which are now establishing themselves as his unique interpretation of house-music. A little playful, but also melancholic and at the same time very easy to dance, his songs convey a special lightness. Vincent Vedat is musically influenced by various musicians who were also raised in the forest by wolves.

Ableton Live 9 and various analog synthesizer are his great passion .
