I made a little loop-able soundtrack for the offline Dino game on Google Chrome. Hopefully, this music will make the game a bit more intense when playing it alongside this music. Tried to keep it small and minimalistic, just like the game itself.

We’re ready to open this year’s summer season with a new album by @fluidvolt, called Clay Memory. It shows the idea of wabi-sabi in a musical form, an organic sound with a temporary beauty of childlike, innocence and happy vibes. Music-wise, it is a combination of jazz, folk and pop, passed through the forms of impressionism and weirdness.

Tony Thai - Plasmatron

London-based Estelle Birch is a writer, sound artist and radio producer who's work explores memory and identity through short stories and sound works. Recently her work in sound has taken her to Somerset House, where she presented an installation in the show 'Dreaming / Diasporas' as part of the 'Get Up, Stand Up Now' event series, while her musical activities have seen her play live at the Tate for Uniqlo's Tate Lates. 

This year she joined NTS for a monthly residency where she considers the common thread between jazz, dub and experimental music. Perfectly placed to get us over that mid week hump, Estelle treds a similar path to her radio show, weaving together atmospheric soundscapes and experimental electronics...

TAC#17: Opening

"I decided to call the mix "On Hold / In Flux" because it feels like the two states that I'm constantly alternating between at the moment. It's about this crave for safety and clarity - whilst also trying to accept the unease of this situation we're all in. Many of the songs on here are ones I've come to love in my teenage-years. When you can't travel to other places, I guess you go inwards. Here's a mix about doing just that." 

“We should really be careful with any amount of trust we are given. Very careful and very protective. We should gather all the trust we have been granted over the years in one place and live with that, realizing that we have been entrusted with something completely unplannable and unperceivable. In fact, it is extremely hard to generate the trust that we’ll have to give to somebody else as a result for some reason. And whoever does receive that trust after all, comes to matter a lot to that person. Trust in each other is the most fragile and maybe the most important of the layers we are standing on. So you have to be really careful not to break it.”

The first paragraph was written by @dorian-concept about his set, the second one is ours. What’s interesting is that neither of us knew anything about the text the other was writing. But someone gathering their favorite songs from their youth and entrusting them to you is nothing short of trust, which is exactly what we need to be careful with.
