Either when holding the bar for over a decade at Soundwall - one of the reference webzines for the Italian electronic music landscape - working as artistic director for the Roman party RNY or during his two-decade long digging journey: Matteo Cavicchia’s life has always been guided by music and the desire to explore and absorb as many artistic stimuli as possible. Basically Ugly Covers was born in 2023 as an ode to the bad taste for record covers’ artworks from back in the day, the surface under which some of the most underrated and funniest gems of (not only) dance music are uncovered.

Carloalberto, born in 1993, grew up surrounded by his dad's vinyl records during the golden era of Italian nightclubs. He's a Dj and passionate digger, with a kanck for uncovering hidden musical gems. 

He has collaborated with many of Italy's most prominent clubbing institutions as Cricolo Degli Illuminati (RO), Rocket Club (MI), Tunnel Club (MI) and he shared the booth with some legends of the worldwide scene among which Kerri Chandler, Tom Trago, Folamour and many others.

Carloalberto is a Dj constatly on the hunt for new and vintage sounds that make each of his sets truly unique. His eclectic sound spans from the warm tones of Disco to the darker realms of electronic music, all while maintaining a groove that gets those knees moving.
