Biography

Scars of Envy is the creative power of five dedicated and driven musicians joining forces at the precise moment in time to achieve an explosively charged sound - like the birth of a new solar system - its electric charge reaches beyond the realm of all expectations - unleashing its magic to blaze a trail across the future sounds of metal. The members of the band were forged together like fiery molten metals in a cavernous cauldron of audio aggression - the sound of a new generation!

Ethan, on vocals, reaches into the very soul of the listeners - not only with his intense and powerful voice but also with his lyrics which paint a vivid and captivating image across the landscape of the mind.

Jeff, on guitar, has such a deep connection to the music that one cannot tell where the musician ends and the instrument begins - his genuine desire to bring the notes to life is as raw and as vital as the blood pulsing through his veins.

Rich, wields his guitar and merges it's driving rhythm in perfect harmony and timing as his chords run through the songs like a bolt of electric through a live wire - fusing the music together - uniting sound and energy

John, on bass is absolute energy in motion - a visual madman who has the ability to strike an emotional chord that charges the audience with unrelenting power and thunderous musical force.

Marc, on drums, has found the ultimate beat that has tapped into his creative abilities and has inspired him to go beyond all expectations - beyond all previous boundaries - realizing there are none.

Scars of Envy

The band’s name SCARS OF ENVY, introduces a deeper, more inquisitive look into the chaotic turmoil of just living through a bond formed by a message of hope through hostile expression. With the scars of life burned deep into each member the envy of man continues to drive them forward.

"Forsaken Me", an album that exemplifies the band’s devotion to delve into the heart of humanity, showcases a myriad of immense rhythms, while unleashing euphoric choruses that tap into the pulse of each listener. The evocative passage “Bred to Conquer” reminisces to the infinite battle of good versus evil that began at the dawn of time, and yet, continues to wage on worldwide. “Forsaken Me”, an individual narrative of one’s strength to defy the constant attacks of malice, ruin and projected misery, glorifies self-awareness, adopts personal boundaries and is written to enrich the soul. The thunderous hymn “Carry The Wounded” praises mercy for those of us who yearn for refuge in our darkest hours and salutes the spirit of our brethren who sacrifice themselves to aid us back to repair.

Born and raised in Los Angeles into a musical family, Will Champlin holds his own from playing Piano on Michael Jacksons last record, reaching top 3 of season 5 of THE VOICE, to co-writing 'Wolves' from One Directions 'Made in The AM' record. Once a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Will toured as a musician with the likes of Santana, Billy Ray Cyrus, to Glen Frey of the 'Eagles' and more. His songwriting work on Heather Headley’s 2010 “Audience of One” earned him 2 grammy wins. Propelled by a loyal & amazing fanbase known as "The Champs" Will was able to reach the Billboard hot 100 with his rendition of "At Last. In July of 2014 Will released his Record known as 'Borrowing Trouble' which is available for download which features 'Heat Of Passion' used for HBO's 2014 fall preview, and 'Eye of the Pyramid' in which he returned to the Voice stage. Champlin is always sharpening his arrows of creativity to hit the bulls eye and make his mark in such a hugely competitive world of music.
