 We are very proud to welcome back Brazilian groove master Vinicius Honorio to the label, after his participation on our last series 'Horizons' on a limited 10' Vinyl edition, the UK based artist makes his comeback on Illegal Alien Records, but this time, he teams up with fellow Producer Duncan Macdonald presenting us a massive EP titled 'Ashes' which includes four incredible peak time tracks, simply another great collaboration release from both artist and we are extremely happy to release it.

Christian Wünsch's brand new EP on PoleGroup is here: four cuts of precise but stomping techno mixing material, carefully crafted in his analogue lab, somewhere in the north of Spain.
The release starts with "Microorganisms". Its percussive madness, resonant sweepy sequences and sonic excellence sum up this track.
Second on the list is "Organic Molecules". Opaque kick drums next to luminous hi hats, different percussive layers and its obsessive sequences are the ingredients of this recipe.
Coming up is "Cosmic Radiation", with a return to punchy drum elements, tensioned synthesized sequences and a clever arrangement, all peppered with his trademark sound.
Finally, "Chemical Reactions" features heavy sub-bass action and a sound that is similar to the other components of the EP. An effective tool for effective selectors out there.

Number 060 in the @polegroup catalogue is tight and sharp. Oscar Mulero is the mind behind this creature, offering three cuts of merciless techno exercises both physically and digitally. 

The opening track is "Tormenta" translating to Storm in Spanish, a fast-paced groove with almost all elements up from the very beginning. Wisely distorted drums, continuous filtered sequences, a sharp elastic line running and mutating across the structure. Direct and mental at the same time.

"Espectro Rojo" translates to Red Spectrum and begins with obsessive distorted evolving lines, shuffled hi-hats and precise kicks. The stereo field is constantly worked out augmenting the experience exponentially.

"Gradiente de Voltaje" closes the EP, the overall feel is less distorted and more opaque and lo-fi. The liquid filtered bassline is soon joined by distorted hats, alternating patterns and twisting the sounds wisely. No sudden interruptions, no abrupt changes, just the right dose of hypnosis to use as a powerful tool.

The second part of 2020’s ‘Converge - Part I’, a body of music which saw enthusiastic responses from the likes of Surgeon, Lauren Flax, DJ Bone, Anthony Parasole and Jus-Ed to name just a few, sees the Berlin-based DJ/Producer and dancer generously expand on and refine his slick vision of techno on one of electronic music’s key labels.

By encompassing warm and soulful textures within club focussed grooves, Hester continues to explore the far reaches of both the musical cues picked up from his years as a dancer and formative time spent in the Midwest US, connecting influences from Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit.

Stretched across a double LP, the album opens with the spacious and icy ‘Stealth’ followed by the machine communications of ‘Artificial Intelligence’. The B-side sees a whirlwind of the synthetic in ‘Instant’ before ‘Contact’ swiftly picks up the pace with it’s warbling pads and slippery percussion.

On the second disc, ‘Circadian Slip’, custom-built for dancefloor pandemonium, continues with off-kilter leads and vocal snippets before ‘Shadows’ brings eerie syncopation to the proceedings. In the final stretch, ‘Silver’ maintains steady energy into the twilight hours, and the gorgeous ‘Wonder’ closes out the LP beautifully, providing a soft landing to an exceptional journey through Hester’s sound.
