01 Bassraver - Back To Basics (Vocal)

This is probably going to be my last upload here so it should probably be this.

This is a remake of Grooverider's Unknown Title (Mix 1).  This is one of the last unreleased dubplate tracks that I really love that has not been released.  There were two versions of this track, this one, and a version that used a lot more samples from KC Flight "Voices" as well as more breakbeats and a piano breakdown.  Fortunately this version 1 was played on the Grooverider Alive CD mix that the Eclipse club put out.

I used the original high quality audio from the Grooverider Alive CD and then used some free AI tools on the Internet to make instrument solos to reconstruct the intro and outro.  Unfortunately at the time that I did this I could not get a baseline solo so the second drop into the D-50 strings does not have the baseline as it should.

I absolutely love this track!  I love every track Raymond played on the Alive CD but as of now, I pretty much collected every vinyl he played in that brilliant set.  This track is the last one I don't have.  I love what sounds like the Roland D-50 spooky strings and the heavy Detroit Techno influence.  At one point I bought a Suburban Knight record just because it sounded like this tune.  I'm pretty sure Groove was going for the Suburban Knight sound but in my opinion, he surpassed this goal.

I'm putting this up in the hopes that it will spark Raymond Bingham to release the originals on vinyl.  I just want this track and its remix on vinyl.  There are a few other unreleased dubplate tracks that would be nice like Trace "Definition of Living", and some Roni Size stuff but this Grooverider track is the best unreleased track and I hope it comes out.

Funny thing, a few summers ago I spotted Grooverider and Fabio on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.  Either that or two people were cosplaying as them which is more unlikely.  I rode past them several times on my Team Sky bike while blasting the genre I love from my blutooth speaker.  At one point one of them blurted out "'Ardkore!" in a British accent.  I didn't stop to say Hi...  I'm still kicking myself for this.  I had a chance to pester Mr. Bingham to release "Unknown Title / Unknown Title (Remix)" on vinyl or digital!!!!  Ugh.....  What a shame I missed out.  Hopefully someday he catches wind that people really like "Unknown Title / Unknown Title (Remix)".

SDR01 - DJ Beeno & Aeon Four - The Perfect Storm EP - Clips

The label was established in 2018 as a means to release the back catalogue of renowned Jungle Techno label Underdog Recordings, which ran from 1993-1995. It quickly expanded from beyond the original goal and now reissues sought after, rare and classic records from the Jungle, Rave, Bleep House, Techno and Jungle Techno genres.

The Vinyl Fanatiks aim is to track down and work with the original artists from the early 1990’s, to reissue their music on vinyl only, and to support the record hunters and vinyl diggers from around the world with quality pressings and superb mastering; a way to show respect and share the story of those that created these incredible records.

The vision is not to focus on the obvious artists of that time but to dig a little deeper and find those that came and went but their legacy still holds true to this day. Some of these producers only released one record and vanished soon after but their music still resonates into the 21st century, accumulating new audiences across the globe, far beyond the catchment of the UK pirate radios and muddy fields of 25 years ago. What happened to these artists? Its Vinyl Fanatik’s mission to find out!

Each record captures a moment in time, a vibe that was true and innocent from a period when music was far more synonymous with rebellion and anarchy than today’s finely polished productions and conformist club pop. This music itself bred on the outskirts of society, fuelled by the passion of the rave, its lineage stemming from the Acid House era of 1988. Often produced on minimal equipment, with minimal skills and knowledge, its audio blueprint transcends to new generations, a rawness that no expensive audio plug in could ever create in this present day.

Vinyl Fanatiks wants to pay homage to these young producers who forged the foundations of the multi-million pound EDM scene we have now. Each of these artists has their own tale to tell, their own memories to share. Limited by their own geographical status within the UK, they somehow still all managed to connect and influence each other, years before the internet, mobile phones and social media that we have today. But the music knew no limits and had no boundaries, transcending generations to this day.
