For the 281st episode of Global Vibe Radio we invite Spanish deep techno powerhouse PWCCA to showcase the mental and cerebral sound that characterize his releases and DJ sets.

PWCCA is also known for his work as Dr Cyanide, his first alias which he gave birth to in the distant 1995. What followed were decades of work as a producer, DJ, electronic music teacher, and label owner of the now well-known Hardtools Records. 

PWCCA was born in 2019 as an evolution of Dr. Cynide's work. His releases have found a home on Warm Up Recordings, MORD Records, Faut Section, Blackrodes Experiments, Combine Audio, Inducted Waves, Signal, Granulart Recordings, Devotion Records, Hardtool Records and many more. He has received support from Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, Surgeon, Richie Hawtin, Ben Sims, Kessell, Dave Clarke, Tensal, Adriana Lopez, Paula Cazenave, Rødhäd, Dimi Angelis, Temudo, and Cristian Varela, just to name a few.

Paweł Zawadzki also known as Concept of Thrill is a Polish artist and DRVMS LTD label owner who is somewhat of a local legend DJ and live performer in his home country, gracing places like INSTYTUT Festival, while also venturing out into other cities in Europe such as playing Khidi nightclub in Georgia or Tresor, Griessmuehle and Arena Club in Berlin. He has shared line-ups with artists such as Perc, Amelie Lens, DVS1, SNTS, Kobosil, Marika Rossa, Headless Horseman, and Abdulla Rashim to name only a few. As a producer he boasts appearances on labels like Christian Wünsch's Tsunami and Evod Music, as he aims his sound at atmospheric, cyclical techno full of character and interesting sound design, so those who enjoy esoteric, heady and hypnotic flavours will feel right at home. MindTrip Podcats episode 27 welcomes one of Serbia's finest Techno exports Filip Xavi. He is one of the authentic representatives of Belgrade's Techno scene the last decade. He's been a rebel against any genre/trend confinements since the day he got involved into techno music and he was mostly attracted by dark and abstract music structures. Dasha Rush remixed his debut vinyl EP on Sonntag Morgen in 2015 and his music has been published on various labels like Dynamic Reflection, Subsist, Decoder Recordings and his very own imprint Teskoba Recordings. The past few years he's been resident at the Drugstore club in Serbia and he has hosted names like Rodhad, DVS1, Dasha Rush, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero, Blawan and more. Until today he continues to pursue his mission of taking the audience into the uncharted territory of sound and space, an approach that fills the dancefloor with mystique and suspense on a path to catharsis. Más conocido como el 50% de NX1, proyecto que comenzó a finales de 2011, ha estado jugando desde principios de la década de 2000. Después de haber pasado la mitad de su vida en el negocio, Surit es un conocedor de la escena y ha alcanzado tal madurez que le permite entregar su propuesta musical de una manera potente y elegante. Sus sets entrelazan una amplia gama de estilos techno, ambientes pesados y húmedos que cubren la pista de baile, ruidos ásperos, saltos de rock y bajos gruesos son la firma de su club. Actualmente se dedica a varios proyectos musicales, como gestionar su propio sello Nexe Records, mantener el proyecto NX1 y lanzar su propio material, así como otras colaboraciones.

Knife presents Surit who carries a suitcase containing more than 15 years of experience in electronic music. Better known as the 50% of NX1, project which started at the end of 2011, he's been playing around since the early 2000s. After being half of his life in the business Surit is a connoisseur of the scene and has reached such maturity that allows him to deliver his music proposal in a powerful and elegant way. His sets entwine a wide range techno styles, heavy and wet atmospheres which cover the dance floor, harsh noises, rocking breaks and fat basses are his club show signature. Nowadays he is engaged in various musical projects such as managing his own label Nexe Records, keeping the NX1 project and releasing his own material as well as some other collaborations.

Nørbak is Artur Moreira, born is the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into Ambient, Experimental and mainly Techno.
It all started in 2016 with labels such and Circular Limited and Illegal Alien, where he gave his first steps and since then he has been releasing his music on respected labels such as PoleGroup, Warm Up Recordings, Semantica, Modularz, Affin, Float Records and his sound has developed throughout these years focusing now more on the mental and physical side of Techno, where he finds the most comfort.
In 2019 he joins the Portuguese independent collective and label Hayes as an active member, where with his label colleagues he’s pushing the new wave of contemporary Techno.
With appearances in some respected clubs like Tresor, Lux Fragil, Gare Porto and Family Club he also feels supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene like Oscar Mulero, Jonas Kopp, Svreca, Dasha Rush and more. His future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.

Tonight, we’re in U.K. with the sound of the London born and based artist Rommek, also known as half of the experimental duo Torn Relics. 

Romek Boyer is the talented producer behind his Rommek aka. He has already released on important labels as BluePrint Records, where he went out with a 3part release composed by 8 originals and with remixes by James Rusking and Broken English Club just to name a few.

At the moment he has a forthcoming EP on Leyla Records and an experimental release on Loose Lips, on top of a second Album as Torn Relics going out at the end of 2020. So keep an eye on him.

Now, I’m gonna leave space to his sound, the sound of Rommek.

Cyklos is the project of the Catalan dj & producer based in Barcelona, Javier Sánchez.
