Delivering infectious energy right from the get-go, “Soul” is as captivating as it is catchy. Masterfully crafting a suspenseful introduction full of equal parts mystery and energy, “Soul” is just begging to be played in the rave. Ephyum is a drum & bass producer hailing from Italy, and he joins ProgRAM for their forthcoming single and one of its final chapters for 2021. Delivering his charismatically polished yet darkly ominous sounds, Ephyum pulls no punches with every track he lets loose on his audience. The sister-label of RAM Records, ProgRAM is also renowned for its harder underbelly and Ephyum is the perfect example of that.

The thumping draws of ‘Knockback’ with its driving LFOs gives a backdrop to its flipside ‘Diaphanous’, following with an ominous intro alongside groove chiseled by its biting drums. So once again, it’s time to get with the ProgRAM. Taking you down into its deeper trenches for another release.

The amazing L 33 returns for Addictive Behaviour, with his latest release, Melt/Let Loose. His signature sweeping, crushing sound is here in full and total effect, and he once again fits in perfectly with the label, always forward thinking, always cutting edge. His experiences with Addictive Behaviour and other labels, including Program, Eatbrain and Rise Audio means that he’s now upped his game, and is fast rising through the underground.

Melt is a slowly building masterpiece, where electronic themes are established early. An interesting spoken sample bleeds into the main section, were haunting flutes are inserted over the top of some rich pads and ticking drum effects. The bassline is not forgotten, and once an energetic break comes along, the low end rises up in the mix, making the total package something totally unique and absurdly addictive. L 33 really can do it all, producing a track the like of which you’ve definitely not heard yet.
