The amazing L 33 returns for Addictive Behaviour, with his latest release, Melt/Let Loose. His signature sweeping, crushing sound is here in full and total effect, and he once again fits in perfectly with the label, always forward thinking, always cutting edge. His experiences with Addictive Behaviour and other labels, including Program, Eatbrain and Rise Audio means that he’s now upped his game, and is fast rising through the underground.

Melt is a slowly building masterpiece, where electronic themes are established early. An interesting spoken sample bleeds into the main section, were haunting flutes are inserted over the top of some rich pads and ticking drum effects. The bassline is not forgotten, and once an energetic break comes along, the low end rises up in the mix, making the total package something totally unique and absurdly addictive. L 33 really can do it all, producing a track the like of which you’ve definitely not heard yet.

Moby has been a hot topic in the Drum & Bass community lately after having recently confessed that it is where he finds “the most adventurous and innovative production techniques and sonic landscapes.” Now, becoming the second Viper artist to have the honour of remixing the legendary electronic master (following Matrix & Futurebound’s ‘One Time We Lived’ remix in 2011), BMotion returns with a fresh take on one of dance music’s most iconic artists.

Taken from Moby’s 2016 album, ‘These Systems Are Failing’, expect to hear both adventurous and innovative production, alongside truly sonic landscapes in BMotion’s rendition of ‘A Simple Love’ – exactly what Moby revealed he loves about the genre in his interview with UKF earlier this year.

Conquering a certainly daunting task, BMotion has successfully managed to balance the familiarity of the original with his own unique sound. Moby’s original vocals stand out against an entirely new soundscape, masterfully infusing a healthy dose of bass and newfound energy into the track together in a way only BMotion can. 

With a busy 2017 planned, BMotion is showing no signs of slowing down off the back of this remix with his forthcoming single ‘Passenger’ due out next month as well.

Millbrook is no stranger to releasing killer music; a look into his past will provide insight how he cut his teeth writing and releasing drum and bass under previous alias Vacuum. With an impressive amount of support and airtime from the likes of Bassnectar, Noisia, DJ Hype, Camo & Krooked and Glitch Mob already under his belt, Michel Losch, aka Millbrook, is now ready to elevate his sound to the next level in a new partnership with Viper.

Making a remarkable introduction for himself, ‘The Rise’ is the first taste of the Luxembourg based producer’s rebrand. Written with the talented Vorso and featuring industry favourite Mad Hed City on vocals, ‘The Rise’ is a raw, gritty, pounding masterpiece with a drop that is guaranteed to leave jaws on the floor. A charming intro melody quickly evolves into something much more sinister, emotion, followed by pure adrenaline, pumping from Mad Hed City’s iconic voice before breaking down into something minimal, funky, and all around technically brilliant. 
The flip side of the single gives us a glimpse at Millbrook’s much more elegant side – a cinematic opening teases at his sound design ability while introducing a variety of power-packed chords for an instantly memorable tune. Delivering a different kind of funk with the drop, Millbrook has certainly proven he is a force to be reckoned with with this release. 

A celebration of the label’s diversity, Millbrook’s introductory release promises a lot more to look forward to. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Millbrook this year, alongside Viper’s growing roster of new and formidable talent.

Loud, bold, and unapologetic, the track is a formidable dancefloor weapon with a heinous edge that is sure to have all eyes set on the budding producer. 

The flipside of the single, ‘Pressure’, shows us Jack Mirror’s more technical side, painting a considerably darker picture than its vibrant counterpart with booming basslines, menacing drums, and an ominous ambiance set to leave nothing but utter carnage in its wake – this one’s not for the faint of heart! 

Continuing to build his own signature sound, Jack Mirror has certainly proven he is one to watch, and there’s no questioning why label boss Futurebound was so keen to have him join the Viper family.
