Grade 8 vocalist. Love singing. I love all kinds of music but love singing anything from musicals, swing/jazz, pop ! I sing where I can but wish I could do more. All my recordings are really rough (only done using a phone) as unfortunately I haven't the equipment to record as i'd like. But I hope you enjoy the covers I've done :D

The Suburban Toys are a Lincoln (UK) based punk / new-wave ska band.

The CD "Ancient Made Modern" has finally been finished and will be launched officially at the gig at Louth Hospital Club 28th Dec 2012. Advance copies of the CD, and tickets for the gig, are available from "Off the Beaten Track Records", Aswell Street, Louth, Lincs, UK.

The Spires performed around the Louth area during the late 70's making several trips to Studio Playground in Wragby to record their growing reportoire. 

On this site are the only eleven studio recordings the band made and one track, Pink and Blue, recorded at a rehearsal.

Band members are jon Newby (guitar, vox), Andy Dalton (bass), Paul Barret (drums, b/vox) and Lynne Stones (b/vox). 

Some thirty years later in November 2011 they reformed for a one-off charity gig.

Encouraged by a sucessful gig The Spires decided to go into the studio to re-record and put a new twist on some of their old songs.  They spent two days in the studio at Monks Dyke's New Media Centre and recorded eight tracks "live in the studio".  These are currently having the finishing touches put to them and will be added to this site as they're completed.
