Virginie, cette pièce me semble bien plus expressive que celle de Leicester, bien qu'avec des éléments similaires. Plus profonde et dramatique aussi. Belles matières, belle basse. Bravo! Annette.

5.1 surround algorithmic composition "Henon & e" was performed at Ambiances, tomorrow congress. This is a stereo mix of the composition.

" Henon & e” is a piece that was written by exploring algorithmic composition while using dynamical systems and their chaotic behavior, for producing musical data. For this piece, a Henon attractor was the main source of mathematical values; those values were derived from the fractal’s own behavior and converted into midi / notational data. The iterations that emerged were transcribed to micro - compositions, that eventually formed a solid structure of notes and musical events. The piece attempts to establish a relationship between fractal geometry and sonic architecture, by surrounding the listeners with spatial micro - compositions that emerge in space, while defining it and modifying it. "

"Métanoïa" for baryton, ensemble and electronic

Cette nouvelle lune inaugure une lunaison extrêmement particulière. Elle débute dans la nuit totale – qui couvre même le jour lors de l'éclipse totale de soleil (non visible en France). S'ensuivent une série d'événements majeurs astrologiques (dont l'entrée conjointe de Saturne et Jupiter en Verseau cette semaine) et calendaires (solstice et nouvel an). Je vous passe les détails astrologiques, ce cycle (jusqu'à la la nouvelle lune du 13 janvier et son écho puissant le 20 janvier) revêt une importance capitale, telle qu'elle nous demande toute notre attention. Un centrage extrêmement puissant pour réussir à traverser ce tourbillon. Quitte à laisser le monde tourner sans nous quelques temps.
 
Que tout se taise pour que la Lumière soit.
 
 
Cette nouvelle lune m'invite à quitter les mots qui expliquent. J'aimerais vous parler depuis le silence ; pourtant le verbe est mon outil de reliance. Alors il m'est proposé d'écrire, mais en langage métaphorique.
Puisse cette histoire ouvrir une fenêtre sur le Ciel de notre conscience.

Composer of Electroacoustic Music
Former researcher associated to the MTI (Music Technology and Innovation Centre)at  De Montfort University, Leicester (UK).
Her thesis : “Multiform visualisation : an approach to acousmatic music”.
 questions the transmodal relationship between visual triggers and music composition.
Currently lives and works in Bordeaux (FR) on artistic projects that combine electroacoustic music, instruments, visuals and culinary experience.
Her acousmatic pieces have been played accross Europe, America, in Australia and Japan.
