It was 25 years ago that De La Soul released their classic sophomore LP 'De La Soul Is Dead', challenging the hippy label that followed the group after the success of their groundbreaking debut '3 Feet High & Rising'. 

To celebrate the anniversary of such a remarkable album, our buddy Chris Read has put together this dope mixtape featuring original sample material, remixes and album cuts.

We invited our good friends, Kris Santiago & La Blu to join our party. The daytime-disco event will be held on Saturday, the 29th of June at one of Budapest’s coolest rooftop terraces, 360 Bar! For this occasion Kris & La Blu prepared an impressive guest mix, ranging from disco, over funk, to synth pop and a bit of house. “All in all, this mix is made for a day at the river, or beach, or while you are at work to keep you in a positive mood.“ they say. There are different tiers of donations, depending on how much you give, you will in turn receive merchandise and future concert/festival tickets. 

In the context of the quarantine in Mexico, dozens of festivals and thousands of live music events have been canceled or postponed and the most affected are the musicians, staff and all those who work in the music entertainment industry.

Of the total donation, 60% will go to all the bands and their staff and 40% will go to El Día Después, a Mexican association that will create a musical community restoration program once the contingency for vulnerable groups within the industry ends ( musicians, staff and workers).
