A BIT ABOUT NEMEAN...

An unspoken ode to the modern sounds of drums and bass, with a blackened musical sensibility, Nemean forges his style with the hammer and tong of rhythm and bass.
His sound is a melding of uneven bass-lines and melodic hooks characterised by his love for darker sounds. Guided by intricate percussion and snappy production, Nemean's songs are designed - down to the core - to make you move.


Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Rory Webb aka Nemean was introduced to heavy music at an early age. He wholeheartedly threw himself in the punk and metal scenes as a teen but entered the electronic music scene in his early 20s with DJing and production after never quite finding his passion with an analogue instrument in his hand.
Now, influenced from the harder edges of music Nemean sets out to deliver face melting Neurofunk.


Nemean has been relentlessly pushing forward with his latest series of remixes with Zombie Cats and deput EP on Eatbrain 'Possession'. His heavy repertoire includes releases on Hanzom Music, Code Smell, Abducted Records, Root97, Cause4Concern, Code Smell, Bass Rabbit, Kill Tomorrow, and The Tech Collective.  An upcoming EP with Hanzom Music is sure to further this as momentum with some of his most polished and forward thinking tracks to date. Big plans are in his mind and unreleased music is plentiful.

I began making music on an Amiga in the early 90s and, after moving to Cubase on PC, had commercial releases with Digital Breaks Foundation (breaks) and The Sect (drum and bass) between 2003 and 2017. 

I started having fun creating music on an Amiga again in 2023, entering into the demoscene, winning tracked music competitions and releasing my album 'Reconnection'. 

The foundation of my Amiga tracks comes from working hard on production and sound design within my current DAW, Bitwig. I plan to release new drum and bass tracks in 2025, some of which might be in the style of The Sect, some of which might not :)
