I wrote this song back in 2018 after being down in the dumps. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do musically and was experimenting with different genres when I decided I wanted to make a song that was a lil chill and lowkey, with pretty sounds that builds up into something grandiose. It sat in my hard drive for 2 years, unmixed, when I migrated computers and switched from FL to Ableton and lost the original project file. I had the audio still and decided to recreate the song on Ableton. Ended up being more akin to what I was envisioning but I never thought it was ready to put out. Fast forward 5 years I wanted to mess around with Suno and see if it can do anything fun to the song, add that missing flavor, and after feeding it at 95& Style and 80% audio influence and shuffling through 9 different variations, I found 2 that really made me feel something and go WOW thats what I was looking for. Took the stems and added them to my original project and sampled/tweaked the synth/bass files and created the final version, which I named Stargazers because well, who doesn't fantasize the idea of floating through a sea of stars.

VI is an experiment to prove you can make good music with AI as a tool, not just a prompt. I write original songs that I run through Suno (Cover, 80% audio influence, 95% Style), then export stems back to Ableton and mix it all together.

I don't believe in using prompts and claiming what comes out is mine. 

Every song has been originally written by me, then enhanced & remixed w/ AI

I vet every remix Suno gives me to make sure the melodies and synth patches all line up with my original song, and don't stray far from my original vision (to avoid any potential copyright mishap w/ whatever music they trained their AI with)

The whole point of this project is to have fun doing something new. AI is so controversial and I want to show that there is much more to it than generic, soulless music. 

Virtual Island is the home to real melodic and emotional music with a digital print.
