"Juno Review: A record that explores deep, hypnotic rhythms with a strong tribal and mystical undercurrent, the latest Siamese Twins records pushes the boundaries of what is possibly in eastern influences underground techno. Side-1 opens with 'The Golden Triangle', an atmospheric introduction that feels cinematic, setting the stage with ambient textures before giving way to movement. 'Lens of Time' follows, locking into a deep, primal groove where rolling percussion and rich low-end create an entrancing effect. On Side-2 'Mekong' leans into tribal mysticism, blending ancient rhythmic patterns with a modern pulse. The production is detailed yet raw, drawing from rich percussive layers. Mysterious French producer Souzo takes over useless seconds’ second release with ‘The Other Side’, 5 beautiful originals full of attractive deepness, comforting analogue warmth, and seductive tones for the explorers of the mind.

The drexciyan grooves of ‘A175-4 Levit8’ and the pressure-inducing ‘Don’s Eternal Drift’ set the release’s mood and show Souzo’s delicate taste for sharp, icy transients and round, mellow subs. We just stepped through the gate. Following up is ‘Haze Modulator’, one of those tools you feel like never fading out with a perfect balance between cycles of coercive dancefloor energy and drop-out momentum.

‘Octotiger’ and ‘Overloaded Bucket’ open new corridors and make up the last chapter of the EP where Souzo showcases its interpretation of the drum & bass plus techno cross-bred genre, where rolling hi-hat loops and stomping syncopated kicks provide an anchor to his signature, ethereals and sustained textures.

Konsudd finds the hyperkinetic Konduku (@kondukukonduku) teaming up with close pal Aa Sudd (@aasudd) as they match subtlety with intensity. Obtuse Swamp's second ecosystem "Hadal Biocenosis" is the result of two years of sonic exploration by Leipzig-based artist Kontinum. Moving from conventional techno to a more bass-oriented sound, he left his comfort zone and experimented with unusual grooves and textures for this release. The EP is rounded off by two remixes from french dub expert Són du Maquís and fellow Leipzig producer Esgeem.

To say that someone has daddy issues is a somewhat rude and humiliating way of alluding to a very understandable longing for a father who is strong and wise, who is judicious, kind, perhaps at points tough, but always fair, and ultimately always on our side.

It would be so understandable if we were to feel we wanted someone like this in our lives, especially at moments of confusion and chaos.

The longing for a strong father has been a recurring theme throughout history.

We remain a little like the young child we once were and haven't been allowed to mature away from in early childhood. We are all immensely weak and in need of protection.

The paradox of daddy issues is that those who have them are almost always people who didn't have very good fathers.
Perhaps one's father was strong but ultimately cruel, bullying or disinterested.      Perhaps he was more concerned with his work.

A good father doesn't, beyond that age, pretend to be all powerful. They confess they can't solve all our problems and can't magically save us from a myriad of dangers, no matter how much they wish they could.

They try as best they can to help us grow up.

The good Daddy disappoints us just as soon as we're strong enough to bear reality out of love.
They deflate the idea that there could ever be a perfect, ideal Daddy.
