John Mackey is a composer currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  He's also lived in New York, Austin, Los Angeles, and Ohio, but he prefers not to talk about Ohio.

As a frequent collaborator, John has worked with a diverse range of artists, from the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps to choreographer David Parsons, from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company to the US Olympic Synchronized Swim Team. (The team won a bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympics performing to Mackey's work for clarinet and percussion, "Damn.")

John has served as a Meet-The-Composer/American Symphony Orchestra League Composer In Residence with the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony and with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has been Composer In Residence at the Vail Valley Music Festival in Vail, Colorado, and in 2005, at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.  He returns to Cabrillo this summer for  performances of his trombone concerto, "Harvest," conducted by Marin Alsop, with trombonist Joseph Alessi of the New York Philharmonic.

John holds degrees from The Juilliard School and The Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with John Corigliano and Donald Erb, respectively.

Michael J. Miller is a composer and arranger living in Nashville, TN. His works for concert band, orchestra, and chamber ensembles are available from Alfred Music, Carl Fischer Music, F.J.H. Music, Excelcia Music, Murphy Music, R.W.S. Music, and Tapspace. Michael's music is regularly performed nationally and abroad, including recent performances at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, and the Jeju Composition Competition for Wind Ensemble in South Korea.

Michael is currently the brass arranger for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA. He also designs competitive pageantry shows for indoor and outdoor ensembles across the United States through a partnership with Synced Up Designs. His music for college band has been performed at the Superbowl as well as at numerous B.C.S. bowl games.

In addition to his design engagements, Michael serves as an adjudicator for competitive pageantry organizations at the state and national level including Music For All's Bands of America Championships.

Before dedicating himself to composition full time, Michael was a public-school band director. Under his leadership, the Joe E. Newsome High School band (Lithia, FL) earned the Florida Bandmasters Association’s Otto Kraushaar award, was named B.O.A. Regional Grand Champions, qualified for W.G.I. World Championships Finals, and performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Michael was awarded the School Board of Hernando County’s Hernando H.E.R.O.E.S. Award, and the Superintendent’s Excellence Award. Additionally, he received the National Band Association's Certificate of Merit for outstanding contributions to marching bands.

Michael holds a Master of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Syracuse University. He is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, the National Band Association, the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, and is a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Michael is happily married to his wife and best friend, Vivian. When he isn’t writing music or working with a musical ensemble, he enjoys traveling the world and experiencing the food culture wherever he goes.

Featured on season 10 of American Idol, Devyn Rush is a Los Angeles-based Philadelphia native. Throughout her high school years, Devyn originated the role of ANNA at Lincoln Center, in the 2007 Tony Award-winning musical, Spring Awakening. She moved to New York City immediately following her high school graduation to continue pursuing her career. Her trajectory has led her to become an in-demand session vocalist, singing some of your favorite commercial jingles! - performer, singing with her band at some of the top venues in Los Angeles - and songwriter, having her songs featured on TV shows and recorded by artists in Austria, Japan, and Korea.
