It seems that the usefulness of polyrhythms has always been questioned. It’s as if musicians are waiting for a time period when polyrhythms will become acceptable to use other than only for special occasions. The goal for this show is to demonstrate that it is not only possible, but advantageous to have a nearly constant flow of polyrhythms from beginning to end.

The show has a safe structure of an Intro/Opener, Ballad, Drum Break, and Closer. The music begins by building slowly and indecisively, attempting several styles before establishing a full decision towards the end of the Opener. Pit helps uncover a unique, emotional melody. Drum Break is packed with varying styles and is very musically expressive. As with the Intro, the Closer starts with some captivating layers. Repeated and modified several times during the Closer is that same curious melody found in the Ballad. The energy of the group is continually increased proven by the tempo markings, the number of “f’s” on the page, and the amount of ink per square inch.

This production shows that progression through Snake, Bear, Eagle, and Wolf. You could take this concept as is, or adapt it to your own tribal show concept.

The Human Element (A Class with Preshow)

"Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity." In this show, we explore the development of spoken word, how they relate to music, and a few other unexpected, entertaining way in which we use words to communicate. The auctioneer moment alone is worth the price of admission!

Word (World Class)

In this very character-driven, theatrical show, we meet a colony of creatures who experience a drought. After being on the bring of death, they summon the rain, and life goes on. If you love a show that allows the performers to really get deeply into a character, this show is for you!

The Drought (Open Class with Preshow)

Ninja 2.0! We removed the weapon and fighting-inspired influences from the original composition, and gave it a more Tai Chi flavor. As human beings, We are in a constant state of flux, trying to find balance. This is show is about the eternal struggle between the Yin and the Yang. With an updated soundscape and some fresh beats, this show is both excited and has some great moments of purity that will envelope the audience like a warm blanket.

Note: Due tot the fact that the and Ninja are in many ways the same show, both cannot be licensed for the same competition schedule.
