I feel like shit so I'm returning back to this song and it just reminds me every time, that even if the world is full of shit and your life sucks... you can always laugh at that.

This sounds like someone being insulted by being told they were a joke, and as retaliation they just proceed to attack them with bouncy balls and bad jokes

As of today, this AU has existed publicly for a year. Wow!

We have stuff planned!! We're working behind the scenes!
I just don't want us to do sprints like we normally do. I want us to post consistently, so we're working on things in a much larger batch and stockpiling them, so that it can be a consistent ride from here to the end of Chapter One. This is taking longer, because we intend to do more than just the music, and I (Hodgepodge) have had some Major Life Events as of late.

Childhood in 7/8 time: Istanbul Before Twelve smells of simit and the sea; it sounds like ferry horns, spoon percussion, and merchants’ cries. Makam melodies meet nu-jazz soul—warm, handcrafted, alive.



This is my first map of Istanbul—from the courtyard to the ferry, from the tea garden to the Grand Bazaar. You’ll hear makam colors, microtones, and aksak grooves in 7/8 and 9/8; saz, oud, kanun, ney, kaval, zurna, darbuka, and davul telling how the city sounded to me before I turned twelve.
Each track is a scene: our block, the neighbor, Teacher Veli (stern and kind), friendship and hospitality, the green valleys, the Bosphorus, the nights, the tea garden, and the journey forward. Between seagulls and ferry horns, nu-jazz and soul blend with a hint of djent—honest, warm, handcrafted.
