We are a 4 piece band from West Yorkshire, made up of Paul (guitar and vocals), Dom (bass and vocals), Matt (guitar) and Johnny (drums). We have been Blue Orchid Reaction since May last year.  Paul and I have known each other for years and were in a previous band together. When that one disbanded we continued to play and write songs together. Johnny is a friend of Paul's that he has known since Uni. He joined us for jams and we became a 3 for a couple of years. I met Dom 18 months ago when training to be a teacher and became instant best friends. 

Initially, we played together so that we could hang out but then more and more songs were being created. We decided to start playing live to see if they were as good as we thought they were. A friend of a friend, who is a member of a charity called Andy's Man Club, set up a fundraiser and asked if we would play. This is a charity aiming at helping men express their feelings to help reduce the risk of suicide. We needed a name,  so being big fans of White Stripes, we became Blue Orchid Reaction.

The 4 of us each have our own family and work commitments but we are very passionate about music and about our band. We practice, play and write whenever we have the opportunity. We have begun steadily gigging across Yorkshire and our songs are leaving a positive impression on the audience. We have completed the recording of our first EP, Princess Anne's Secret Bunker of Clotted Cream, with Secret Chief Studio's and it represents a personal achievement and milestone
