While I am more sympathetic to the anti-Zionist Jewish and Israeli voices weighing in on the death and destruction being wrought on Gaza and now Lebanon (I am originally Lebanese and from the South) it is so refreshing to hear Israeli voices who believe in their claim to the land but are intellectually honest about the counterclaim.  I have been following the Israeli MSM and I am shocked by the extent to which the views promoted exist within such a narrow band much like the US MSM. I was expecting to find more variety given that Israelis enjoy more press freedoms that are absent from most Arab countries. Lebanon for example has a much broader spectrum of views portrayed in its media outlets.  The past year has been very dispiriting as it appears that our conflict is succumbing to the polarization that is plaguing the world. I was  heartened by Yehuda’s respectful exchange with Aharon that came off as a genuine attempt to appreciate a different if not opposing perspective.
