A staple of the new generation of Dallas DJs, Omar Mustafa operates on a broad pallet of club music from drum and bass to house and techno. His devotion to the culture and audience-focused background allows him the unique ability to adapt each set to the party at hand.

During the later half of 2009, Mustafa began his career working as a promoter with the infamous Afterlife nightclub. He found his love for mixing and began getting bookings fairly regularly. Since then he’s had the opportunity to guest DJ for just about every DJ crew in Dallas and at venues across the city such as Green Elephant, Wit’s End, Beauty Bar. 

His dedication goes beyond the art of mixing. Mustafa's start in booking and promotions has given him a unique insight on the amount of work that is put in behind the scenes. When he is not mixing, he can be found out and about supporting the local scene at various weeklies and events most days of the week. 

Omar Mustafa is currently affiliated with Motif Dallas and the Dallas chapter of M.I.A. - the largest drum and bass collective in America. He’s a frequent guest at Two:Tone’s drum and bass weekly and also weekly show on ActiveSessions.FM.

Drum and bass is, and always has been a brimming and bubbling hotpot for raw talent with new producers and DJs making waves everywhere you turn but while SoundCloud and local club nights offer an army of exciting and adept MCs it’s an incredibly rare feat that one of these melodical masters of ceremonies cements themselves as of the elite. 
 
For the over a decade the line up of lyricists at the biggest raves and well-revered label nights has stayed for the most part a carbon copy of the event before (and the one before that), however, crowd-pleaser Visionobi, honed his force and broke that glass ceiling and is now a go-to host for the scene’s biggest players Metalheadz, Shogun, Hospital, Soulvent and D&BA to name a few.
 
In 2013 Visionobi, or as his mother would call him Richard Twaites, won the Drum and Bass Arena award for Best Newcomer MC, which at the time gained him a lot of ‘man of the moment’ type tags. This momentary status has been proven wrong with his organic story of hardwork and longevity.
 
Rich started MC’ing over 20 years ago and sharpened his skills as part of a Southampton based drum and bass family which included Gerra & Stone and Joe Raygun. With the help of other musical minds, the group created a thriving local scene curating now legendary night’s Wax, Raygun Youth and Release playing host to huge headliners. Visionobi flexed his promotion skills by holding down a ‘Visionobi Presents’ residency in his hometown at London’s famous superclub Fabric and now looks to continue that legacy under the moniker “Colony” for future Visionobi Presents events.
 
Aside from establishing himself on the live circuit Visionobi also stacks up an impressive discography including releases on the mighty Metalheadz, Dispatch Recordings, Sun & Bass Recordings and Soul:vent and his Red Bull Music Swift 16 has racked up over 200,000 views/listens across social media and showcases his thought-provoking grasp of conscious lyrical content and his infectiously pulsating flow. 
 
Man of many motivations Rich is known amongst industry peers as one of the scenes good guys, hardworking, friendly and well informed which earned him the job as a radio show host on world-renowned Rinse FM for Metalheadz for over 4 years. 
 
2022 sees a monthly release schedule of music as well as the promise of an album in 2023, watch this space..
