Hot off the record press, just in time to ring in the famous mobilee rooftop and pool season, Rodriguez Jr.cranks out a stellar four-track EP.

Revolving around the beauty of the 133 is, "Persistence Of Vision", a groovy and melodic little number wrapped in deep, soulful lyrics, customized to flow through the warm evening open air dance floors of Spain this summer. The Re.You remix of this utopian track speeds up the melodies just enough not to take away from the wonderfulness of it all. With some extra kinky sound gadgets sporadically added in, this jam can be worked in into any dancefloor set.

On the flip side, "Mustang" tears it up with jumping keystrokes and faint background vocals while "Alderbaran" counteracts with cheerful xylophone taps battling with sinister vocal samples, harvesting an uplifting tune.

Past rooftop parties have validated Rodriguez Jr. to be an integral part of the summer line-up and what better to launch 2014 than with a potential "summer hit". Mobilee will introduce its first ever free, bi-weekly Ibiza residency starting Monday, July 14th on the poolside dance floor of Hotel Santos Ibiza Coast Suites and Rodriguez Jr. is scheduled to deliver a sensational and intimate live set. Additionally, in a series of four events, Hotel Silken Diagonal's infamous cozy Barcelona rooftop, in conjunction with mobilee records, will host Rodriguez Jr. to close out the season along with Sebo K and Re.You on Thursday, September 9th.

For our 69th edition of Mavrica Deep. We present an underground act, DJ & Producer coming from Serbia under the name Marko Miletic. Marko recently released an EP on Not Allowed digital imprint based in Belgrade, Serbia with a remix from CVTKVC. Marko's foundation's love of music were laid at an early age. Born on 3rd June, 1985 in Krusevac (Serbia ) and growing up with the sound of the 80s he was originally inspired by Acid Techno and Electro, Then his musical taste switched over to Deep House and later Micro House.
He has been involved in DJing and music production since the age of 16, performing in some of the most renowned clubs across Serbia and the region.

Having spent the last few years paving out his distinctive driving style with huge releases on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Spectral Sound and his own One Records, it may come as a surprise that for the A-side of the release Subb-an steps into new territory to deliver a truly mesmerising slice of modern electronica on a closer tip to his recent remixes of Lana Del Ray and Jamie Woon. Written over a year ago and feeling that ‘Rain’ was a really special track, there was much deliberation over finding the perfect vocalist. With previous smash hit releases on the label and a debut album on the way, the idea of Footprintz materialised and everything simply fell into place. Captivating synths glide across a bed of dreamy deep chords and subtle percussive passages, while the signature sound of the haunting Footprintz vocals swirl through the deeper vortex. Keeping things tight within the family, label partner and best friend Adam Shelton delivers a stunning remix of ‘Rain’ to be released as a digital only.

On the flip the talented producer teams up with Rush Hour favourite Tom Trago to unleash the powerful ‘Time’. The track was born through a bond that formed when Trago was asked to remix one of Subb-an’s first big releases, ‘What I Do’ on Culprit LA. Becoming friends the pair soon found their way into the studio to master up a dance floor weapon that is highly sophisticated and intricate in production, building with tension and suspense as hypnotic waves are thrown into the equation. The thought provoking vocals spoken by Seth Troxler send the track into new dimension and with these three heavy weights involved; it’s set to be a big one.

The past few years have seen a rapid rise to fame for the Birmingham bred Subb-an and with this monumental release and huge plans in place for the coming year including the 10 Years Of Crosstown World Tour and a debut artist album, there’s no hiding the fact that Subb-an’s stardom will continue to soar.

vi•sion quest (noun): a search for personal communication with the spirit world. 

Every mystical journey eventually comes to a fork in the road. The seeker of life’s destiny has two options: remain satisfied with whatever level of consciousness he has already attained, or push forward into ever-new domains of promise and possibility. 2014 sees dance music’s best-known spiritual pilgrims, the Visionquest trio of Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss, and Shaun Reeves, bravely embarking upon that wondrous journey. Each member of this celebrated DJing and production team contributes a distinct yet interlocking vision that together forms a seamless, organic whole. Just think of Crosson’s enthusiastic shuffle, Lee’s soulful stare, Shaun’s soft touch. Everything they craft has the same unmistakable flair: slow-burning, shape-shifting, expansive techno and house marked by compositional elegance and unabashed pop hooks.

Although long-time partner and co-conspirator Seth Troxler has stepped aside to pursue other projects, 2013 was the biggest year ever for the four. Inspired by the passing of the Mayan calendar, the group embarked upon Visionquest 13, 13 dates where the boys not only played together the whole night, but curated a true multimedia experience. From London to Buenos Aires, from the American hinterland to the Chilean wilderness, Visionquest 13 was a Freudian trip into the deepest recesses of the Detroit rave unconscious, what Ibiza Voice described as a “collective expedition into the depths of your soul”—but with a sophisticated, modern twist.

Their accomplishments are well-known and too many to list. For starters: a critically acclaimed 2011 Fabric mix; year-defining hit remixes for artists as diverse as Kiki, Wareika, Tracey Thorn, and David Lynch; showcases and dates in the biggest clubs and festivals around the world; and the creation of a now iconic-label that’s played host to dancefloor weaponry from the likes of Benoit & Sergio, Life & Death, Dinky, and Laura Jones—all this while each member maintained significant individual production and DJ careers. But, by definition, no journey dwells in the past. So in 2014 they launched Visionquest Special Editions, a limited-release, vinyl only label. Evoking the experimental sounds of the European techno avant-garde that first inspired the boys back in Detroit, the debut release, remixes of Montreal songwriter Quilla, features a stunning collaboration between Shaun and long-time hero Ricardo Villalobos. With Visionquest Special Editions we see the group at home at a breezy, gentle afterparty, not just igniting the club. As Visionquest winds around the corner into their bright future, they remain open and excited for what lies ahead.
