“Ojoooo, how excited I was when Menica asked me to do this podcast. Doing something completely different from club music is out of my comfort zone, but quickly I realized how much fun it is mixing up different tempos while maintaining a relaxed vibe. A big part of the records was found while keeping my ears wide open during my internship at Crevette, constantly picking fresh fruits. I started with some more breaky jazzy tracks but quickly, the mood changes into a deeper downtempo mix, finally ending with a slightly higher pace. Composing her new EP for Groovement was a long, slow but self-empowering process, as she went through a lot of different vibrations these past years.

Partnering with the Barcelona-based Mostra Festival to showcase some of the recorded sets during their second edition. Mostra is an independent small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music held in Barcelona on Easter weekend. Nathalia's set was showcased on the first day of performances at Castell de Montjuïc, an emblematic landmark in Barcelona with incredible views of the whole city.

Damiano is a DJ with a passion for music that came to life at 15 years old. His artistic path was consolidated during his 10 years in London, where he refined his style by immersing himself in the city's lively music scene, taking inspiration from the people he met and the new sounds found abroad. We met Barousse as we were travelling to Paris to find some new gems in local record stores, after stepping in his living room we quickly understood that the man had a particular taste for intrinsic sounds and a unique versatility of taste. 

For this cast, Barousse delivers a unique downtempo inner voyage, helping you drift away slowly while being surprised as each track unveils.

Wave Machines -- I Go I Go I Go

Long time channel pals, "Who’s Susan" have kindly chucked a lovely DJ Windows XP jam our way from their brand new bi-polar-esque titled EP, "Sometimes I Feel Happy, Sometimes Sad" - I guess operating systems do have feelings after all. After making serious waves off the back of their last release on DJ Haus' imprint, E-Beamz; the Amsterdam duo's second offering demonstrates another, perhaps more considered facet to their production ability - yet retaining their trademarked raw stonk.

Lots of questions are still left to be answered, though. Who really is Susan? Maybe ‘it’ could have been me? At the end of it all though, who cares. Let your synapses turn around the infinite situations, with infinitesimal different angles round and round your brain- what’s gone is gone. Dust to dust.  Stare into the abyss, sink into your cocoon, let the bass drum thud in the back of your throat, the background synths wrap over you, crescendoing into the most alleviating rush. Pretty blissful stuff and certainly not just another jovial 'DJ' pseudonym.
