I was born and raised in Co. Cavan, Ireland. I moved to Los Angeles in the spring of 1987 and began working as a session musician. Many of these sessions included world-renowned artists including, Chet McCracken (Doobie Brothers), Albert Lee, Stuart Smith (Sweet), and Howard Leese (Heart). Working with musicians of this caliber, all of whom had toured the world, inspired me to find a band that I could tour with. In 1994 I joined world-beat band World Color, a multi-racial, multi-cultural band led by Pamela Whitman, great-granddaughter of Walt Whitman. The experience of working with musicians from all over the world combined with my upbringing, rooted in Irish traditional music, transported me to a new place, musically. I began to write music that would lead to the unique sound that is, Finn MacCool. I left World Color in 1999 to form the band Finn MacCool.

*Ancestral Voices (the Famine Years)

The Famine, also known as, an Gorta Mor, all but decimated the entire population of Ireland. During the years 1845 to 1852 five-sixths of the people died or emigrated. Ancestral Voices (the Famine Years) uncovers the true reasons behind why an event of such magnitude is seldom spoken of in Ireland.

There was a time when women had an equal voice in society. What happened?  How did they lose their equal standing? Was it survival of the fittest, or did man wander from the path of equality, fairness, respect, and understanding? 

From Eve to Mary Magdalene, Joan of Arc to Lillian Hellman, there is one common thread, they were all vilified. Whether it was labeling them a witch, a whore, or a communist, the tactic was the same, dehumanize the target, turning them into symbols for lust evil and hatred. Buy why?

Peter McGowan performs weekly in and around Los Angeles with his partner Suman Elizabeth Kirby (percussion - vocals) and longtime friend Marta Collier (pennywhistle - bodhran). He also performs with his six-piece band, Finn MacCool. depending on the size of the venue.

PAULGRASSIVE has always found creating music a passion; starting when he was 5 years old he learned to play the piano. In later years he became more involved in the music scene playing in various bands, ranging from guitar, bass, and drums. By 2004 Paul was ready to try something new, he began mixing Minimal and Progressive House. Finding a new skill in music he soon became a resident DJ at local Shanghai clubs such as King’s Corner and S.O.S. 

2006 Paul left the comfort of his home Shanghai, China and came across seas to discover what the United States had to offer. He enrolled at ATU in Russellville, Arkansas and quickly fell into the local music scene, reigniting his fervor of being in a band he set aside mixing for a short while. Never letting a heavy dose of culture shock slow him down, he later moved to Central Arkansas in 2009. 

There he found a similar night life to which he was more accustomed to and PAULGRASSIVE was born once more. Little Rock, Arkansas was a different environment, with a new culture he found the styles he originated with would have to be adjusted. From the heat of the EDM crowd he took on hard banging Dutch-Electro House, while still keeping some of his Progressive sounds.

In less than 2 years Paul has become one of the well-known DJs in Central Arkansas. He has shared the stage with AC Slater, Crystal Method, Mix Master Mike, DJ Reid Speed, Datsik, Designer Drugs, Zoogma, DJ Stellar, Le Castle Vania, and DJ Angel Alanis but he doesn’t plan to stop there…

Recently, he has been working on creating more banging tracks to entice your mind and body. Paul plans of sharing his music with the masses, by enriching the EDM music scene. He expects to begin producing in the near future, making a new unique style of Dutch House tracks; bringing the party to the people who have the same love and passion of EDM.

A long time veteran of the Drum and Bass and Bass culture, now showing versitility. He is embarking on a new twist showing his amedextrious side, Djing, throwing events, touring, and Emceeing at events for which he is a fourteen year veteran of. Showing his love for the scene with his dark bass, deep vibes, quick script and clever rhymes.
