DISPLAY’s latest split tape features two tracks by the artist innerinnerlife: one solo piece and one collaboration with the label’s founder, Kid Smpl.

The release begins with the minimal and earnest solo piece “The Green Ray.” Finding inspiration in film, the artist melds together warm floating pads, pointillist synths and solemn vocal edits as the track twist through three cinematic movements. All of this culminates in a heartfelt and emotional sound reminiscent of the artist’s previous work.

On the B-Side this sound begins to deconstruct itself with the collaborative track “Our Heart Knows A Way Out.” Here we find the collaborators Kid Smpl & innerinnerlife taking a similar sonic palette to “The Green Ray” and filtering it down to a delicate, spacious piece. Joyous strumming guitars and tranced-out synths are stretched out to meet the stillness of reverb-drench pianos and clipped-out vocal runs, with both of the artists’ sounds finding home in the stillness.

For the fifth episode of 'in Passing tides' slyn shares the hour with lycopsid_ (@lyc0psid), a Leipzig based musician & field recordist who's work blends synthetic textures with contortions and recontextualisations of nature.

'For this mix I was imagining bacteria and other micro-organisms breeding and multiplying in softly lit pools of stagnant water. Discreet, minute lifeforms, biological waste bubbling up to the surface to form a layer of froth' - lycopsid_

As normal the first thirty minutes has been curated by slyn, with the rest by lycopsid_

Oscilla Sound welcomes Andriy K. to its Liminal catalogue with 'Poetry of the Vanished Territories', an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine's landscapes, capturing memories of fading places that linger between what was and what remains.
Using open source data and field recordings from the corresponding locations, Andriy K. and pryvyd layer abstract compositions with fragments of reality, blending nature and memory.
The journey begins with 'Lybid,' a tribute to one of the oldest rivers in Kyiv, that endures in its fight for existence. The diptych 'Kinburn Before' and 'Kinburn After' tells the story of a sandy stretch in the northwest of the Kinburn Peninsula, nestled between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea. Continuing the path, 'Ozon Dub' transforms matter's state, with water gradually giving way to gas, only to revert back to the salty depths on 'Oily Sea'. 
An archive of the transient, 'Poetry of the Vanished Territories' invites you on a journey through the spaces in-between.
