Dubai’s iconic audio tonic brand is on the cusp of celebrating 10 years of establishment, and next up on the label their 35th release encompasses the true sound of now.

The combined release output of all the artists involved with AT035 is substantial, with the original mixed crafted by the collaboration of Egyptian born now based in Barcelona Raxon, and the Belgian disco synth duo of Spirit Catcher. Their releases on Culprit, Noir, Cecile, My Favorite Robot, Gruuv, Pets Recordings and 2020 Vision to name a large handful make clear their intentions. Traffiq is a masterful dose of sub bottom end and crafted synth work, squeaks, beeps, squelches and signature sounds of both Raxon & Spirit Catcher. Throw in the addictive percussive framework and you’ve got a track ready for true dance floor deviance.

Next up the remix, and with the likes of Noir Music, Suara, Knee Deep In Sound, Great Stuff and Tretmuehle using his production prowess to represent their labels, Olivier Giacomotto is riding a rolling electronic wave. His rework incorporates THE famous Giacomotto bass line we have all grown to love, and most importantly recognise as his true signature. Taking the track down the darker realms OG turns out a remix worthy of note, and one we hope (and know) will be throwing hands into the air across the globe this summer and for years to come!

Ecuadorian Carloh’s passion for music began at an early age, learning the art of turntablism from his father and uncle, both of whom were DJs. Heavily influenced by the native instruments of his country and the folk music of the Andes Mountains, his knowledge of modern and traditional is reflected in the latest release on Hot Creations.

The EP opens up with title track Sound Pump. Alien-like noises float amongst the powerful, thudding drums before descending into a crescendo of hurried synths that are smashed into outer space by that classic jackin’ beat. This is swiftly followed by the dark and looming bassline of It’s Like Before, littered with twinkling, cosmic synths it’s work’s a treat!

Claiming he wants to “rescue the sound of classic house”, the talented producer has forged a musical style that strikes the perfect balance between old and new. Describing himself as a pioneer of the musical genre “Andes House”, Carloh has previously released records on Desolat, Baumsounds and I’m A House Gangster.

Started in October 2006 by Steve Lawler, VIVa Music began life as a conduit for the internationally renowned DJ and Producer to release the wealth of underground music he encountered on his travels. Having previously handled the now-classic and traditional vinyl label Harlem Records, Lawler decided VIVa was to be a forward thinking outlet for quality music and boldly announced that VIVa was to be digital only. As well as a clear mission to look towards the future of the music industry, this was a step to ensure that music could be released quickly and retain the freshness that the labels A&R was struck by. Far from the template set out by many of Lawler's contemporaries, VIVa quickly established itself as a label where artists could be themselves and write music that isn't defined by just A&R, but by one simple guideline: Quality. This has meant the label has gone on to release music from a wide range artists, from major players like Lawler and Audiofly through to burgeoning talent like Livio & Roby and Nicole Moudaber.
