HANNES GREVE is a Berlin-based composer. Beeing influenced by baroque artists, mostly Bach and Lully, he creates his own, slightly naive style. The late-classical idea of a developing theme often appears readopted and partly even caricatured.

10 PIECES FOR PIANO is recorded and played in a very dry style to assure and connote a certain proximity. The transparent sound, which is attained by the avoidance of sustain at all, ensures one doesn't get lost in a spate of emotionalism and supplies an equivalent for the unpretentious manner of performance. At this, each piece,  either theme- or mood-driven, tells a story.
