The Metropolitan Soul Museum helmed Kulture Galerie returns with Volume 2 of its various artist-focused release series. This new 5 tracks compilation showcases some of the finest Dutch and American sound, all brought together by London’s own MSM.

Amongst the collection there is an original composition from lauded American artist and Delsin regular John Beltran (+ a special ambient version of said track available exclusively on Bandcamo), and more from Böhm (030303), US’ best kept secret Tramic, De Lighting’s’ own Nathan Kofi & RDS and of course the label bosses Metropolitan Soul Museum themselves.

Rob Zile's first EP was released in September 2009 on Artefekz Muzik. 

Following this EP many doors were opened; from being asked to remix other artists to forging great relationships with other dj’s, producers and record labels from around the world. It also gave him the opportunity to play his first international gig at the WMC Techno Marathon in Miami in 2010, sharing the bill with artists such as Perc, Spektre, Oliver Giacomotto and many more.

Rob hosts a radio show called ‘Brain Food Radio’ on Kiss FM Dance Music Australia every Tuesday night from 10pm to 11:30pm AEST/AEDT. ‘Brain Food Radio’ showcases thought-provoking electronic music and is curated for people who want more than just the hits and the big names.

'Brain Food Radio' has been on the Kiss airwaves since 2013. In 2018, Rob took the next logical step and launched his own label 'Brain Food Records.'

Rob's productions have been supported by The Black Dog and Mike Humphries and they have received positive feedback by Hybrid, DJ 3000, David Meiser, DJ Pierre, Lucien Foort, DJ Hyperactive, King Unique and Colin Dale among others. Rob has supported a list of international artists such as: DJ Hell, James Zabiela, Dave Seaman, Guy J, Skream, Artwork, DJ T, Guy Mantzur, Eelke Kleijn, Joe Brunning, DJ W!ld, Drumcomplex, Sebo K, Tim Engelhardt and more. He has completed three seasons as the house DJ, musical director and occasional actor on TV show ‘Planet UnEarth’ and his remix of Tony Kanwischer - Moonhalo appeared in an episode of '60 Minutes' on Channel Nine on prime-time Australian TV in April 2015.

The first single from “Pulses and Resonances”, Rene Lorenzo’s debut album on Subtempo, set to release on vinyl on February 2nd. 

This album represents a culmination of more than 20 years of electronic music exposure as a DJ and a clear point of view. We can hear influences of broken beat, techno, drum & bass, all through the unique lens that Rene brings to the table, deeply steeped in ambient, deep techno and downtempo. Even though this isn’t a dance record, it’s filled with energy and drive. It is an out-of-the-ordinary album, with intricate shifts and turns with well-crafted kick drums, round bass lines and enveloping subs. A record filled with warm sounds, head-nodding rhythms, and rich textured spaces. It’s all woven into an easy-listening experience, without demanding the listener’s full attention, but creating a landscape that is unique and varied throughout. We can hear references to artists like Boards of Canada, Jan Jenilek, Synkro and the like.

“In this record, every track has a different pulse or rhythm, and I use different resonators in the sound design process to achieve these tones. I started by leaving the space open with the ambient pads and hardly any rhythm, and I’d let myself be carried away by my sense of rhythm slowly building the compositions. I am obsessive with audio processing and I almost never leave a sound in its initial form. I like to add some subtle effect that sounds like something different and give new sounds to the elements I use.”

LISAS is a Franco-American DJ emerging from the New York techno scene whose expertise spans a multitude of roles. From working behind the scenes doing live sound for raves, as a sound engineer in recording studios  alongside artists such as David Byrne, Floating Points, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Chris Gormack, performing in the band The Rapture, to producing music for the Ayama NYFW SS24 fashion show; all while repairing vintage analog synthesizers and outboard gear- her journey is diverse and captivating.

Her transition to DJing- an evolution grounded in her extensive knowledge of sound, illuminates her live sets and mixes with sharp selections that provide a genre-defying ride innately tailored to the energy of her audience. Her unique style which she refers to as "post-apocalyptic arpeggiators meet mermaid synthesis" is a blend of techno, electro, IDM, trance among other electronic genres, that create a unique groove has earned her a coveted spot as resident of Le Bain in New York City along with gigs across top clubs and notorious underground parties in the United States and Spain.
