This is another one from the Disordered Arrangements series, it took quite some time to finish it but I always had the urge to bring it to life, I think it has it's qualities and surely disrupts the dancefloor at the right moment. Despite the title suggest it is a humorous track.

Apocalyptic Awesome

I was very lucky to be able to close the Cassini main stage at Kallisto Festival this year! There was a decent core of sunshine ravers out there, I had a lot of fun :D

The little bonus at the end is a remix I did last year for a Detroit based hiphop crew.

This track is about false reasons, this can be recommendations or directions of the way things should be done. It's often a misleading help which can be eventually advice from the wrong perspective. For me "This Is The Way (For The Wrong Reasons)" became a little bit an inner mantra to keep an eye on looking through the eyes of the others.

The track evolved in production and was produced in a very linear way, Beginning with microphoned percussions, almost like a country song. Eventually stripping itself barebones to kick and bass. It always has been in it's inial arrangement as I like to keep it - at least in the Disordered Arrangement series.

This Is The Way (For The Wrong Reasons)

I created this track through field recordings done in Mexico City. The pace and colors of the track reminds me of wandering through the streets of Mexico City, with all it's bold colors and multiple levels of pavements, with all obstacles of finding the right ways to walk.

Luckily I was invited to this wonderful little beach, the last dance for this summer near Swarzewo in Poland. It was an amazing place to play, despite the challenge of rain - we just kept on going. Thanks for all the amazing feedback, happy to come back next year for some summer dance vibes.

Swarzewo - Strand Der Nomaden - No Audience (Plaża Nomadów) (10.09.22)

This is the first jam session of my new live setup with two Digitakts, a TR6s, Typhon and 1010music Bluebox controlled with a Midifighter.

I love to improvise with this and the first run went pretty well. Now it's all about getting completely familiar with the setup.

In this recording I wasn't very brave on experiments bc I focussed more on playing all pattern through - at the end I was even rushing through the patterns a bit. 

Performing without the audience is just half as good, live (electronic) music needs the audience, this is what its all about. The audience becomes a vital part in creating the tracks on the fly, the dynamics but also the bold experiments, if the people forgive and are with you, it encourages to grow.

VLQR TWO dawless studio impro (05 02 23)

So happy I could be part of the legendary Electric Ballroom this year! What a lovely crowd, surely a special club experience, thanks to DJ Dana and DJoker Daan, who were brave to play unexpected and rarely hear vinyl, tastefully arranged. Thanks to the audience I was in a flow state from minute one and was performing like in trance. And thanks to my friend Holg who pimped up my master output - totally dope!
