Claudia Bonarelli is Johan Fotmeijer. He has been an active musician in the electronic music scene since early 2000 with releaes on labels such as Mille Plateux, Boxer, Adjunct, Trapez, Italic, Soniculture, Ideal, Mitek and more recent the Swedish Purlieu Recordings. Besides making music as a solo act Johan is also half of "Thet Liturgiske Owäsendet" with his good friend and Purlieu Recordings label boss Linus Schrab.

Played and recorded using analogue modular synthesis, the five tracks that make up 懐古的 (“Retro”) were created in a live setting by Japanese composer Takahiro Mukai who is actively involved with the resurgence of cassette culture and physical format.
The EP follows the struggle of the organism as it navigates the subtle static and chaos of life; its dance of tension and release. An imagining of a single oscilloscope taking simultaneous measurements of the currents from an inbound weather storm and the waveforms produced within the synthesiser.
