Premiere: Recondite - Tide [Plangent Records]

Renowned German DJ and producer Solee is set to release his 8th artist album named "Goldglut". The album, whose title poetically translates to "golden glow," captures the ephemeral moment just after sunrise, when the sun’s first rays paint the edge of the morning clouds with a radiant hue. This imagery, evoking both warmth and subtle intensity, mirrors the rich atmosphere of Solee´s music. The 21 tracks on Goldglut represent the culmination of Solee´s artistic work over the last two years, a period of deep reflection and exploration. And there are a few little surprises on the album, such as unreleased versions like the Turmbühne mix of "Luft", which Solee produced especially for his Fusion Turmbühne opening set. But also new unreleased edits of "Tanz der Planeten", "Somnia", "Faith Healer" or a special intro version of his classic "Shanti". Each track carries his distinct style, weaving elements of deep melodic house & techno, progressive house, trance and ambient soundscapes into a cohesive and compelling journey. "Goldglut" stands as a testament to Solees continued evolution as an artist and his ability to touch listeners with music that is both ethereal and grounding. Embark on a journey and get lost.

EarthLife are an Italian duo based out of Salerno, bringing their first EP, "India" to Steyoyoke. It's an accessible release packed with 4 strong tracks – balancing heavy beats with the kind of shimmering details that give 'Ethereal Techno' its name.

The EP begins with "India", a steadily evolving track which pairs delicate synths with a compelling rhythm that ebbs and flows. "Color Of Birds" follows, adding a darker and more dynamic element. Multiple layers interact with effects that add intensity to the bass, while maintaining melodies in the higher layers. The third track, "Endless Memory", takes a more delicate approach. EarthLife take time to create space in this track with a delicate intro, and only minimal synths, letting the production speak for itself. "Horus" closes out the EP, taking the minimal tone of the previous track and evolving these themes to a finale that speaks directly to Ethereal Techno fans.

Overall EarthLife deliver a compelling EP which shows a mastery of tones – the first two tracks focus more on a dancefloor-friendly side of techno, while the second half of the EP brings the delicacy and minimalism. It's an exciting release for the duo, with hopefully many more to come.

I feel we’ve put together a release so strong that it sets the bar extremely high for what’s

Kevin’s flair for making amazing melodies and soundscapes mixed with spot on
arrangements and in depth productions is a true pleasure for your ears.
Even when writing these words I slowly drift away and dive into the music with a smile on
my face.
To top it all we also got a superb remix from Marco Faraone who has been among my
favorite techno producers for years as well and one I have been wanting to release music
by for some time. His remix makes “vertigo” a more hard hitting and techno driven
banger.
Cleverly keeping all the melodies intact and wrapped up in heavy beats.
I feel blessed to have both these artists deliver such high quality music for NM2.
This release honestly feels like moving into a new era for the label and excites me so much

When reality stands in the way of creativity...feeling like you can’t do what you want and mentally block yourself, finally becoming your own worst enemy. Mindscape EP is a musical expression from dutch techno artist VNTM, going through the paces of these uncertain and distopian times. The title track of the EP, ‘Mindscape’, sets in with dark chords, dissonant elements taking over disturbingly and blocking the road ahead, though not able to hold back from beliefs, yet energizing them. ‘Omniverse’ is an outburst of vibes sending out energy and hope for better times ahead, where ‘Personification’ is more of a reflecting track where the mind tries to come at ease.
