The very first embryo of The Collective Unconscious was conceived in 2007, when Giacomo Ferrera and Antonio Surace meet, not coincidentally, at a music school in Rome, where they both studied. In the same school they meet Marco La Fratta, who soon comes into line with them.
Then, a young drummer and Giacomo's friend, Claudio Cicchetti, joins the band and becomes the fourth line-up's element.

A year later the band is still looking for a singer ...
In 2008 the four guys contact, for a more creative and ambitious project, Guglielmo Zampaglione, student at the Faculty of Psychology and looking for people to form a cover band.
The project is called "The Collective Unconscious.”

The intrinsic aim - never conceived in a rational way – of the project seems to be the one of investigating the human being, by fluctuating from a more profound dimension to a surface, and shaping the potentially noble but often banal and misunderstood path of the material and spiritual growth of individuals.
In the summer of 2009 appears the first self-produced demo and the band begins to play in several clubs in Rome. The band is selected among the 18 finalists of Soniche Avventure, contest by Fridge Records, which allows them to share the stage with the Bud Spencer Blues Explosion at the Rome's Init Club in May 2010.

In December 2010 the band releases the first self-produced EP, recorded at Locomotore Studios in Rome (Zu, Lento, Morkobot, Ufomammut) and mixed by Ra-b ( La Zona Records). The EP becomes largely positive critical reviews in specialized magazines and webzines.

Appassionata di musica, ho ascoltato vinili e band dal vivo come se non ci fosse un domani. E continuo a farlo perché mi piace conoscere tutte le tendenze del momento. Tendo ad ascoltare rock, punk ed alternative ma non mi fermo qui.
Insieme a tutto questo, ho lavorato come montatrice video in alcuni studi fotografici e montato un documentario su Catania con la regista Giovanna Brogna.
Ho intravisto nella comunicazione sul web una nuova strada, un’opportunità per promuovere e parlare di musica, unendo ciò che amo di più.
E’ nato così il mio blog fascinorock.wordpress.com, il mio piccolo angolo di web e di musica.
