From North Carolina to the California streets. Kode Phive was born a stillbirth, who miraculously regained consciousness at infancy and survived. He grew up from house to house and at many times ended up homeless. Having his older brothers murdered a year apart while having an unstable household, he developed a passion for music and the arts. He thrives to tell his story for the voiceless and inspires those who may feel hopeless at times. His constant variations of style, rhythm, melody, and tones set him apart from today’s current artist and genres. His sound is a genre of it’s own! Dahbu was abducted by Haitian nationals in late 1998, and shown how to beat a rhythm out on nothing more than a cockroach and ramen noodle package. Between torture methods, Dahbu began to learn the art of creating bass lines using a rubbing method with his legs, much like a cricket. After his release, Dahbu kept with the theme of his torture music, and molded it into drum & bass. This is what you get.
