Katsunori Sawa & Anthone (aka Martsman) are Bokeh, the dynamic duo behind some of the notable releases on Berlin’s Weevil Neighbourhood. Bokeh blends together the distinctive styles of techno, D&B, and drone music into a concrete, hard-stepping rhythmic journey.

Lenses Dances comprises 8 tracks that reflect on the photograph effect called bokeh, where aperture settings of the respective camera lens create vivid patterns, almost like dancing dots. It is a dedication to the artists’ love for photography.

The artwork and logo is designed by Paul Nicholson, the graphic designer behind the Aphex Twin logo and the Laughing Man character from Ghost in the Shell.

For this 21th Premiere of 2021, we have a particulary dark ambiant track by Pierre Serafini (aka PEEV) entitled ‘Snakes & Ladders’ from the upcoming Charity Compilation "Floppy have more soul than be ɪ zoʊs" on a new Lyon based label : Music For Commercials.

Why floppy : the sound is rather disgusting on it (1.44mo) but well... Nothing is obsolete as long as it is still usable... We wanted a nice physical support without creating new plastic or vinyl objects. Only second hand floppy disks, hand-customized by us. 0 carbon emission. All the money donated to anti-advertising actions. It won't prevent us from buying followers to sell them "en masse".

Music for commercials is a label dedicated to environmental preservation. All profits are donated to associations for the protection of the environment and anti-advertising actions.

The label promotes diverse and open aesthetics, from noise, to IDM (Idiocratic Dance music) and destructured pop.

From an ecological point of view, our releases take place on floppy disks (these floppy disks are second hand). The race for innovation can make us lose the sense of our priority. We prefer to use obsolete material to make useful and usable work of art. Nothing is obsolete as long as it is still usable.
 
Our floppy disks each contain one track from our first Various :
