This gave life as my senior seminar project meant to demonstrate musical composition prowess. As such, it is a demonstration of a variety of genres ranging from classical to electronic to jazz/hip-hop combinations. Many of the ideas behind the music were based around a pre-existing idea I had for a video game centered around a group of individuals being thrust into a virtual environment and being forced to journey to a black “spire” in the middle of the game realm. As such, each of the music was to be a sort of “character theme” for them. When translated to the EP, I intended to have each music describe each character without the need for words. I got the help of Ian Rondon and Kevin Wilson, both classmates of mine in college, for bass and saxophone respectively.
