This EP is the result of a long-standing creative exchange between ArpXP and Was A Be – a process that unfolded over the years in a spontaneous, unstructured way, capturing the spirit of the moment rather than following a rigid plan.

These tracks are not the pair’s first collaborations; the two artists have been close friends for many years. Each piece was born in different circumstances and under different inspirations, but they evolved gradually, reshaped and fine-tuned through countless tests on the dancefloor.

ArpXP is among the first Italian DJs and producers to break into the international drum & bass circuit. Since the early 2000s, first with his project S.M.O.K.E. and later as a solo artist, he has released on iconic imprints such as Metalheadz and many more. He is also one of the driving forces behind the renowned SUNANDBASS Festival, where he curates the label SUNANDBASS Recordings.

Was A Be, meanwhile, has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the Italian scene. Known for his eclectic and boundary-pushing style, he has released music on some of the most respected labels in the game, including Subtitles, Critical, Shogun, Gutterfunk and Neosignal.

Visceral es un label de Buenos Aires que reúne tracks de los rincones más profundos del mundo pero latinoamerica es nuestro lugar y acá está nuestro sonido.
Cada sonido arma un mundo fragmentado, ruidoso y digital mundo.
Hay loops rotos, brillos pixelados, texturas híbridas y energía cruda.
Visceral aparece en lo que escapa, enlaza, en lo que mezcla, en un entramado. Se habita desde un no lugar, desde una disforia, desde una desmesura.
A lo largo de este compilado se ven distintos paisajes sonoros donde la intensidad se abre a un pulso vital pero también por momentos hay oscuridad, basura y ruido: ese lugar sin representación, al que solo llegan las  criaturas más extrañas de este planeta.

@rockwell has a new four-track EP 'Isolation Ritual' dropping via his Obsolete Medium imprint, which comes as the result of reviewing and amending his approach to music making.

He said: "Making changes to both my creative process and the relationship I have with my music has been massively beneficial to my productivity and also to my wider mental health. Music is starting to flow again naturally. It is a slow process to unlearn years of bad habits, but hopefully ‘Isolation Ritual’ is a step in the right direction.”

It opens with 'Vent', a 4 minute ride through tightly constructed percussion, atmospheric outer tones and deep bass throbs. Alix Perez has been rinsing this one, and we've no doubt you will as well.
