The puppeteer's workshop contained a mass of wooden limbs, woolen clothes, and linen masks that protruded oddly and gazed outwards from the shelves, greeting any visitor with a jarring sight upon their arrival. Upon closer inspection, their forms bore remarkably accurate representations of human appearance, a testament to the masterful craftsmanship of an artist who had devoted years of careful study to his craft. Indeed, the puppeteer’s creations entertained courts the continent over with their lifelike forms and were an item of distinct prestige within the collections of the nobility who owned them. Many clamored to purchase one of these most valuable marionettes, but the puppeteer was exceedingly choosy in the selection of his clientele. His storefront strangely advertised no price for his works, and only a select few were even allowed entry to his workshop to begin with. Rumors abounded of the rare goods that were required to purchase one of his creations - the hides of exotic beasts, dazzling gemstones, or spices from distant lands were all said to garner favor with the master artisan, and yet even those who showed up at his door with these items were often turned away. The truth of the matter was known only by the master himself, as was the secret to the expertise in his craft. 

Indeed, whilst he was fond of all things rare and beautiful, there was one thing that he valued more than all others, one thing that informed the basis of all of his works. A human soul, separated from it’s physical form at the TERMINAL STAGE of it’s death, would naturally seek a nearby host to possess, and with dark magics and unerring skill the master would trap these mournful souls within his marionettes, granting them an appearance of unparalleled vivacity. He, of course, would perform the separation himself, and found a ready stock of ingredients in the enemies, dissidents, and prisoners that filled the jails of his noble clients. Thus was his trade, puppeteer-executioner, and thus was the price for his work payable only in souls.

TNTKLZ make their EATBRAIN debut with TERMINAL STAGE, presenting a superb sonic show for the EATBRAIN horde alongside likeminded Neurofunk artisans Gancher & Ruin and Profuze across the EP’s four tracks.

Many ancient texts detail occult experiments into the creation of CHIMERA, fusions of living beings of different species that draw on their various strengths whilst removing their individual flaws. Their existences are a thing of legend, long sought by many but never brought into the light of knowledge by substantiated proof. Indeed, as human knowledge of the world’s species has advanced, such fusions have been relegated largely to the realm of pure fiction, an imaginative but ultimately impossible class of being that cannot exist within the modern, rational world.

Yet for all of the progress of science and reason that has occurred in the millennia since these tales were first told, our kind has done little to cast off the ignorance to which we are so prone. Could it be not so simply that such beings cannot exist, but further that they exist in forms that we simply have yet to comprehend? For I have heard tell, dear reader, of CHIMERA that walk amongst us amidst our modern world. Masquerading as our friends, our colleagues, and our leaders, their presence goes unnoticed by all but the most discerning of eyes that are paired only with the most open of minds. Born from within the endless intricacies of our data-driven world, these creatures emerge from the depths of the forgotten places upon which that world is built. Deriving consciousness from the near-endless supply of social data our species produces, they are said to manipulate electrical currents to piece together a physical form at the molecular level, a perfect simulacrum for which to host their synthetic minds. It is then that they step forth from within the depths of our server farms, our electrical grids, and our greatest scientific laboratories, their human facades augmented by an inherent connection to the vast sum of our species' collective knowledge. It is sure to be true, dear leader, that these beings have already assumed positions of great power amongst us. Thus it is that I urge you to beware the CHIMERA which walks not upon the paws of the lion nor flies upon the wings of an eagle. Yes, a far more sinister being walks amongst us, dear reader, a CHIMERA that smiles with the perfect teeth of its unerringly human guise.

MYTHIC IMAGE return to EATBRAIN and present CHIMERIC as the latest EP crafted to bear their sonic visage, regaling the EATBRAIN horde with a selection of sonic stories that recount the tale of an unknowable modern horror across the EP’s four exactingly synthesized tracks.

Five years after the release of his debut album 'Descend,' Pythius makes a triumphant return with 'Turmoil.' Renowned for his unique blend of trance arpeggios and metal riffs, the Utrecht-based artist embarks on a creative journey, embracing novel elements in his sound through collaborations with Black Sun Empire, Burr Oak, and Merikan. The emotional depth of the album is enriched by the vocals of Reebz, Rhode, RIENK, MVE, and flowanastasia. This one is really special to me because it's the first time I've ever incorporated vocals into my production, and it took me on quite an interesting journey during the creative process, even though you may have heard the vocal in other tracks. I know with samples bought online you always risk not being original, but honestly I couldn´t care less. This whole tune started with the vocal and was 100% build AROUND the vocal, so I wasnt ever thinking about removing it. Nobody would believe its me singing anyway.. :D
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

The percussive impact of a lone T-REX’s talons echoed down the street with reptilian confidence, an emotion shared and augmented by the pompous mannerisms of the man who rode astride it. The beast’s monstrous nature forced friend and enemy alike to take reverent notice of his very presence, and the man quite enjoyed being the center of attention as his mount lumbered through the jagged alleyways that had long been his home. Lost amidst his own grandeur, his mind wandered to thoughts of childhood bullies, business rivals, and others of an unappreciable ilk. They, he smugly thought, did not have the latest model of theropod mount. His, by contrast, was magnificent as it fed upon the occasional stray or frightened bird and left a smattering of spattered crimson in his wake. 

As a science, genomic revival had been actualized for almost as long as the man himself had been alive. He had for so long dreamed of this day, having watched in envy as the folk of the upper city rode upon perfect biological chimera that answered to their every whim. Though the costs associated with the creation of such creatures had decreased significantly, such prestigious beasts as his own T-REX still lay well beyond the income of a mere android repairman like himself. Thus it was that as he had happened upon the body of his current mount clinging to life atop a local scrap heap, he had rushed to its aid and imbued its body with every piece of spare artificial biology at his disposal. Now, as the cybernetic augmentations to his beast’s ruddy hide shone lustrous in the sun, the man reclined pridefully into his saddle as he uttered a silent prayer in the hopes that his hacked together diet inhibitor would continue to keep himself off of his new mount’s menu. 

MIDNIGHT CVLT returns to EATBRAIN with T-REX, a five track EP that sees one of EATBRAIN’s most recent additions unleash a furious follow-up to 2023’s “Bloodfire” EP on the label. Marked by the menacing sonic character so alluded to by his moniker, the five tracks within T-REX are sure to induct a fresh batch of souls into the EATBRAIN horde under the sway of MIDNIGHT CVLT’s undeniable influence.
