A man who needs no introduction in the Dance scene, UK based DJ and producer, Josh Butler, makes his debut on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records imprint this July with the brand new, 'Fuck The Regs' EP. Having firmly established himself as one of House music's most revered talents, Josh has seen his releases land on established labels including Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, Rejected, Knee Deep In Sound and Armada Subjekt, boasting remixes for the likes of Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Joris Voorn all whilst playing numerous Ibiza residencies, festival sets including Glastonbury, SW4, Parklife, Secret Garden Party, and multiple European, US and Australian Tours. The 'Fuck The Regs' EP showcases Josh's signature sound, offering shuffling hi-hats, atmospheric breaks and builds, distorted trippy vocals, turbocharged synths and playful basslines throughout, resulting in three slices of Tech House gold ready for the club! The Glitz are ready to start their journey towards the big “AXEN” album release in April, and they are starting it with a proper statement track. The first single “Dicktator” is a shot fired against the ambiguity of wealth, power and morality that seems to run through our societies. Western countries getting rich through selling weapons to war torn areas, then working against helping refugees who seek shelter. Politicians lying through their teeth in their hunt for more power. And it is just accepted. The irony of it all is poetically worded by the beautiful and fierce vocals of Fanny Winter, while Andreas and Daniel have created a monster of a song. A frenzy of groove, percussions and synths blend in the style of rough electronica. Like something you have never heard before, the track pushes forward, powerful and full of attitude. 

While the original is a masterpiece, the guys have also put their heads together to give us a version suited for the clubs. “Dicktator (Club Mix)” is as groovy as they come. Think beach house inspired but with a heavy hitting bassline, quirked synth elements and of course, the occasional vocal elements from the original. A bass heavy groove ride with smooth percussions perfectly suited for both those dark nights in the club as well as dusty afternoons on a festival dance floor. We are excited to see where this journey towards the new The Glitz album will take us. One thing is certain though, the first release hits the ground running and we know we are in for a treat!
