Emer began playing the violin at the age of two and a half, which led to a career in violin performance and composition, having composed music to film, radio and theater. She has performed and composed the music for productions in various cities internationally, including Dublin, Vienna, Berlin and London before moving to Chicago, where she completed her MFA in film scoring at Columbia College Chicago. Emer is currently based in Los Angeles.
