First in a series of mini-compilations bound to shed a broader light on rising and under-represented talents, "SVT328" puts on a savorous menu of techno-friendly grooves and big-room busters from a diverse cast of up-and-coming producers. 

Punching the clock in first position, Hamburg's SUZé gives us a spitting glimpse of her vivid, exotica-infused universe. Sitting halfway laser-guided minimal tech wares and retro-laced EBM artillery, "Between The Lines" is a straight out compelling slice of conscious body music, equally enjoyable on and off the dance floor. Stephanie Raschke picks up the torch and runs the hoodoo down on a further heavy, sludgey note with "Talk To Me" - an electro-rock hybrid that beams a wild mix of neonized synth talk, raucous bass riffs and thrashed disco vibes as one. 

Kaufmann takes over with the hi-NRG "Twee", a seriously infectious slab that'll get all tickers in the room swinging at equivalent rate. Nurtured on sci-fi-infused sound design and a stadium-sized sense of raving extravaganza, this one's got peak time-belter written all over it.  A stealthier affair, Spada's "Tantrum" sneaks its way in the shadow. Merging an inch-perfect programming with luscious middle-eastern harmonics and seesawing synths on a mission, its catchy hook keeps etching deeper into the listener's mind as bars roll by. Kasbah-rocker all the way.

Following the release of their ‘Human Robot’ EP in August, our label head Victor Ruiz and his long-time friend and collaborator Alex Stein are back with another gripping induction to the VOLTA catalogue, this time with a very special single format via the enslaving ’New Generation’.
‘New Generation’ is a modern take on their historical and famous track ‘Generation’, which was originally released in 2012 and marked the start of their international careers. Stein and Ruiz serve a pacy, off-beat Techno cut flooded with robotic nuances and acidic tones, along with the iconic vocals that remain as compelling as they were on day one. A flawless fusion of commanding, propulsive percussion and captivating musical depth, its coarse sonics and rugged soundscapes create an eerily futuristic Techno piece, demonstrating how their timeless track can experience a rebirth while still staying true to it’s original message and energy.

Since its inception in 2022 - Victor Ruiz’ Lisbon based Volta Records has platformed electronic music that carries a certain, singular balance between melodic delicacy and percussive power.
The imprint has played host to artists such Tao Andra, Alex Stein and Lisa May and next up is a formidable 2-tracker from rising Rome based artist GIULIA (IT).
'Colors In Your Eyes' reflects the Volta canon perfectly as it sets a swooning, heartstring vocal soaring over the top of a thunderous kick. Bass synths saw through minor-key chord shifts while hats and claps ring out like polished swords.
'You Are Never Alone' follows up with another pacy Prog bass line that's set galloping over a powerful, tightly-woven groove. A dilated breakdown pulls the track apart, gradually dismantling energy that builds up again slow toward an arresting vocal. This sends a signal out to the floor before the drop lands with ruinous force. This is raw, somatic Techno at its finest - music that targets body and soul and
is certain to cause bedlam on the dance floor.

Marcu Rares’s original version of “Lunatique” is a masterpiece from the Romanian Minimal genre, which Tao Andra discovered on Youtube few years back and used to play in her Minimal sets. The two artists are from the same city in Romania and both have a background in Minimal, which made them connect instantly.

Last year, Andra approached Rares about the possibility of making her own version of the song and he immediately sent the parts. A year later, she finished it and this release became reality. 

The remix brings the energy of peak time techno while keeping the emotions and gentleness of the original, the ideal match to have on VOLTA. And a statement why Tao Andra is one to watch.

If you been paying close attention to artists who have been making waves in the techno scene as of late then there's no doubt that Weska should be an artist who you've come across. Born in Canada but now based out of Germany, he's been gaining some serious support over the past few years with releases on labels like Drumcode and Octopus Recordings.

This year has already seen Weska embark on a new journey as well with his self-released Waves series picking up momentum with his recent third edition. But that wasn't enough to satiate his cravings for releasing absolute tunes as today, he's gifted us all with a free download of his "Don't Think" edit.

Originally crafted by renowned The Chemical Brothers, Weska reworked the tune so that it would fit seamlessly in his own sets. The result? Pure techno goodness. Victor wants to create a new platform that not just releases music but also connects artists and human beings.
