The wait is over; Victor Ruiz is back with a bang with his latest release, ‘Touch The Darkness,’ an enthralling three-track EP to be unleashed on his VOLTA label on 21st April 2023. Previous releases on VOLTA have seen the likes of ANDATA, Balthazar & JackRock, Christian Smith, and more feature on the label, making it one of the most exciting and fastest-growing imprints in the techno space. And with ‘Touch The Darkness’, Victor Ruiz has once again proven that he is one of the game’s most talented and innovative producers.

Known for his unique blend of peak-time techno, acid, and melodic mastery, Victor Ruiz has once again delivered a stunning masterpiece that showcases his talent and versatility as a producer. The EP features three tracks that are sure to get your heart racing, each bringing its unique flavour to the table.

The EP starts with the title track, ‘Touch The Darkness’, a pulsating techno track filled with ethereal sounds and driving beats that will get any dancefloor moving. Next is ‘The Alchemist’, an acid-laced masterpiece showcasing Ruiz’s ability to create emotional and powerful tracks. "I Want To Get Lost" is about getting lost in the music and euphoria at a dark rave. When you are on the floor, feeling the music and enjoying this moment in time.  I designed the track to have lots of energy and dropping with gritty bass stabs and a strong kick. I like the contrast of a dirty heavy groove with the softer female vocal atmospherics. 

In "The Darkness Drops" is all about the euphoria, tension, and excitement of a big build climaxing in the explosion of energy at the drop. I created The Darkness Drops to have a crescendo of ecstasy for the big build, culminating in the scary vocal: 'And then it drops… the darkness'. The listener is then plunged down the rabbit hole with the heavy groove and fat synth lead on the drop.

It’s no news that Victor Ruiz have been producing authentic music from day one. With a need to incorporate that sound more and more, VOLTA was created.

“I’ve always felt that my music was somewhat different and most times hard to place on a certain label. I saw many other artists feeling the same. There was a gap. That’s when I knew it was time for me to create VOLTA.”
Victor wants to create a new platform that not just releases music but also connects artists and human beings.

A percentage of the profits of the label goes to charities and causes chosen by all the artists that are involved.

“I want to bring consciousness to our scene that we should not just make and play music. There’s so much more beyond that. Helping people should be one of the main focuses in our lives. That’s why we are artists, to connect and to help.”
