After the success of the first edition in 2016, we decided to make Unfold and ongoing Various Artists compilation series. The second volume is another carefully curated mix of new label signings and more established names. The nine stylish tracks cover lush deepness, silky synths and hooky melodies that provide a real listening experience, no matter the context.

The first volume of Unfold featured the likes of Applescal's 'Harmony Two,' which became a big hit with DJs and has since influenced the more club-focused sound of the label. As such, the music on this collection has one foot on the dance floor, but comes with richly layered arrangements and proper songwriting that works just as well at home, in headphones, or anywhere else. Whether driving and late-night or more sun-kissed and airy, the sounds of Unfold are all indicative of the wider output on Atomnation. It is a label that deals in music for dancing, but also thinking and feeling.

The new artists here include NOCUI with his lush piano house, Awe Kid's gurgling grooves and heavenly melodies and Argia's clean, trance-inducing sounds. Label boss Applescal's 'Annie' is an uplifting synth jam with his partner, while Sky Civilian's 'Calle Electra' is a catchy piece of clean avant-pop. Both Milio and boys be kko bring star-gazing gems taken from their upcoming albums on this label. The rolling depths of new artists Lex Ludlow and Blomfelt & Narby bring this collection of sounds way beyond the dance floor - Unfold is packed with fresh new music and grooves laden with spine-tingling emotion.
