AL SON DEL ACID / ACID RESISTANCE COLOMBIA

Empezó a tocar en el año 2014 en la ciudad de Bogotá con un grupo de amigos amantes de la música acid, done sin importar cuantos equipos hubiera que trastear si a la final Acid Techno iba a sonar.  Con esos mismos amigos fundó el colectivo AL SON DEL ACID y empezó a presentarse en eventos en vivo y transmisiones por internet junto con algunos Djs de la escena local como Sayith, Sonomaquina, Rave o Phonic, Sonico, Lemon Drop, por nombrar algunos. A través de AL SON DEL ACID fue que empezó a promover la cultura Acid Techno en la capital colombiana, organizando diferentes fiestas y eventos hasta llegar a niveles más grandes, invitando a artistas internacionales como Chris Liberator (fiesta organizada junto al colectivo ACID RESISTANCE en 2017, pionero en la escena Acid Techno colombiana).

Al seguir ensayando y probando nuevas mezclas como Dj, Trackcid empezó a fascinarse por la calidad y el estilo sonoro que desprenden la tornamesas y los discos al girar. En 2017, decide entonces aprender producción y mezcla en GROOVE STATION con Dj Zyco the Acid Commander. Es allí donde Dj trakcid deja de lado la música en formato digital para pasar a la pasta negra.

Radicado en Francia desde 2019, siguió su camino resistiendo del lado de la música Acid, pasando horas en las tiendas de discos parisinas y confirmando siempre su amor por el Acid Techno. Desde su llegada a Europa, Dj Trackcid empieza a asistir a fiestas y raves internacionales con franceses, españoles, italianos, alemanes, etc. compartiendo entonces con más amantes de la música, lo cual ha contribuido a nutrir su estilo y su técnica musical a la hora de pinchar. Fue invitado a la ciudad de Lyon para hacer parte de una serie de eventos del colectivo Maracuya Lab quienes combinan la puesta en escena con performance visual e ingeniería. Por otra parte, también se acercó del lado de la cultura underground española, siendo invitado por el colectivo ACID RESISTANCE a mezclar al lado de Dj Zyco y grandes figuras catalanas como Acid Mutant, Tio toni, Koko, Zoge.

Ketrab – DJ, Producer, and Label Owner

Ketrab, the artistic moniker of Bartosz Czechowski, is a DJ, music producer, and label owner hailing from Wrocław, Poland. His deep-rooted passion for UK Acid Techno and Hard Techno has shaped his career since its beginnings in 2002. Known among friends as "Siwy," Ketrab initially developed his craft in Wrocław's underground scene, spinning records at clubs such as Wagon, Intro, Samo Życie, and Absurd.

In 2005, Ketrab moved to Bristol, UK, where he quickly immersed himself in the city's vibrant techno scene. He organized free parties and performed at legendary venues like Lakota, The Black Swan, Blue Mountain, and Jack of Diamonds. During this time, Ketrab had the opportunity to perform alongside techno heavyweights such as Dave the Drummer, DDR, and Geezer, solidifying his position in the underground music scene.

After taking a six-year break from performing and organizing events, Ketrab returned to the decks in 2018, joining forces with the Zlotek collective. The collective reignited his passion for organizing and performing until the COVID-19 pandemic put a temporary stop to live events.

Not one to stay idle, in 2020 Ketrab began learning music production, and by early 2022, he launched his own digital record label, Nota Fortis Records. The label is dedicated to hard, acid-driven techno, and Ketrab has already released three EPs under its banner: Raveolution Has to Happen, Inner Rage, and In the Face of Madness. These releases showcase his ability to blend fast, aggressive beats with acid-infused techno elements, establishing his unique sound in the techno world. His work continues to expand, with more unreleased music in the pipeline.

In addition to his releases on Nota Fortis Records, Ketrab has also put out music on respected labels like Refined Format and Breslau Techno, gaining international recognition. His DJ sets, known for their relentless energy and hard-edged acid techno, feature not only tracks from global artists but also his own productions, creating a unique and powerful experience on the dancefloor.

With a growing catalog of releases and a reputation for delivering high-energy performances, Ketrab is steadily carving out his place in the global techno scene. Hello, all. My name is DJ Shnootz (real name Matt), and my obsession with acid techno and acid trance began in late 1996. Twenty-eight years later, I am still obsessed with acid techno and acid trance.

Of course, I also mix hardcore/gabber, acid core, psybient, Goa/psy, hard trance, UK hard house/NRG, ragga tek, and even some melodic trance every now and then. In fact, in the last few years (since mid 2015 or so, and especially since late 2017), I've gravitated quite significantly toward hardcore/gabber (particularly "early hardcore" with healthy doses of ACID). To be clear, I still mix acid techno, acid trance, and the other styles I mentioned above; but fair to say, gabber has become one of my main pursuits in the last few years, so hardcore heads should expect many more mixes of thunderous gabber going forward.

In any case, I’ve also long been a fan of hardcore punk rock (e.g., Propagandhi, [UK] Subhumans, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, etc.), hip-hop (Del the Funkee Homosapien, Jurassic-5, Sage Francis, early Wu, etc.), reggae/dancehall/dub (General Levy, Daddy Freddy, Pato Banton, Steel Pulse, Bob, etc.), classical music (Beethoven, Dvorak, Khachaturian, Rossini, Verdi, etc.), and many other types of "normal" music, as well.

In terms of my work as a DJ, I have always been a vinyl guy (the only exception being my psybient sets, as most psybient is released digital-only), though to be clear, I have absolutely no problem with digital DJs and digital-only tracks; I just stick to what I know, that's all. Anyway, I started playing parties in southern California in late '99, and over the next few years, I played a few dozen events for Something Fresh, Neosapiens, Believe, Molecule, and a handful of other production companies I can't remember. I took a semi-hiatus between maybe 2005 and early 2009 (and I still mixed the occasional set during those years) but then got back into it more earnestly and developed a modest but wonderfully demented online following, particularly overseas. Since early 2015, I've also begun to play a handful of events again, so we'll see what the future holds.
