A scientific study has taken place exploring the experiential difference between 'Black Body music' and 'other music'. The noticeable difference music lovers and musicians have noticed with 'Black Body music' is that it is not only more beautiful and harmonious to the ears, but it also induces a more inward experience that is felt inside the body and along the spine. 'Other music' was felt as a more outward and mental experience, and felt at the side of the head, which projected outwards. Audiophiles have also stated 'Black Body music' seems to be more spiritual and mathematically consistent with the universe, whereas 'other music' can be perceived as unnatural and can ultimately lead to emotional distress, destruction and war.

Scientific studies also reveal that Black Body are able to unify the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity and consciousness. An abandoned, unfinished dub of Client Liaison, back from when we were going to release them on Multi Culti. Fun fact: Duke Dumont also did a remix that never saw the light of day (or night). I gave up on this one because it was too 'white' and I couldn't imagine ever wanting to be seen playing it. Now's the time when you tell me I was wrong and crazy and it's actually making you groove away from your computer terminal and into the outback of your mind.
If this reaches 1 million plays I'll upload the vocal version.

Layne Fox is a San Francisco-based producer who has released some killer records over the last decade as part of noted collective 40 Thieves. This is a track i wrote depicting the drive down a stretch of highway between Canberra & Braidwood. Its a pretty sad sight actually - one of the most dangerous places to be a wombat or kangaroo - with hundreds of them killed on that stretch of road every week. This one goes out to all those little wild fellas just trying to mind their business.

Premiere: Uone & Western - Tribal Paradise (Dreems Australis Borealis Vision)(Sol Selectas)

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.

Phenomenal Handclap Band is back on Toy Tonics with remixes by Superpitcher & Ray Mang! The New York indie disco crew delivers their third song to the Berlin dancefloor label. Their last 2 Toy Tonics singles, "Judge Not" and "Jail", have already made big waves with heavy rotations in the sets of people like DJ Harvey, Artwork, Gilles Peterson, Keinemusik and many others. Now they are back with another surefire smash: "Remain Silent".
The Phenomenal Handclap Band from New York has been known for a couple of funk-driven releases before, but also for supporting or collaborating with such giants as Bryan Ferry, Marcos Valle and Nile Rodgers & Chic. 
The band, based around multi instrumentalist and producer Daniel Collás, is releasing their new single in advance of a new album on Toy Tonics in 2020. This is just a warm up!
